For over 10 years I ran a snack bar and served hundreds of people each day. Needless to say, once I got home cooking was not on my list of things to do.
My “cooking” involved opening a can and “nuking” it in the microwave.
That is still pretty much what I still do. There is no one I need to worry with cooking for and I just throw something together when I get hungry.
With that said, I still have some things I like better than others. I seem to take things in cycles…. For a while it was tacos – I kept Taco Bell busy with an order about once a week. Then it was burgers. The latest thing is chicken pecan salad and taco salad. They don’t require any real “cooking”; just throwing the stuff together.
I do have a slow cooker that comes in quite handy; I can take something out of the freezer and throw it in the pot with some water; put on the lid and let it cook…takes about six hours. 🙂
But I love eating beef and broccoli with rice and chicken fried rice.
And thanks to the various delivery services, I can let someone else to the cooking if I am not in the mood.
