While the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences celebrates the best in Hollywood; the Razzzies honour the worst. The Golden Raspberry Awards are presented on the night before the Oscars.
According to the official Razzies press release, “after strikes, lingerings of a worldwide plague and a general sense of universal agoraphobia, the decline of the cinematic experience goes without saying. Thankfully, a doll pic and a bomb movie jump-started The Industry, which still left a trail of Pooh behind for the Razzies® to pick up!”
The “Expend4ables” leads the way this year with seven nominations; “Exorcist: Believer” and “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (or should that be Hunny???) each received five nominations. “Shazam! Fury of the Gods”, “Ant Man & The Wasp: Quantumania”, and “Meg 2: The Trench” also received multiple nominations. Megan Fox even managed to earn two nominations – for worst actress and worst supporting actress.
Winners…or Losers…of the 44th annual Razzie Awards will be determined by its over 1,000 members and will be presented on March 9.
