A week after Coachella concludes, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival takes over the music scene. No longer just about Jazz the festival in New Orleans has lined up top stars all across the musical palette.
The festivities begin on April 25 with “Locals Thursday” where all Louisiana residents may attend the festival for just $50. Normally the event takes place on the second Thursday of the Fest but the May 2 date is already booked…for some rock legends.
It was previously announced that Rock and Roll icons the Rolling Stones will be appearing at the Jazz Fest on May 2 as a part of their tour.
Country music star Chris Stapleton, Hip-Hop star Queen Latifah, and rockers the Foo Fighters are also scheduled to be a part of the festival.

Also on tap for the Jazz Fest is a tribute to rock music’s beach bum Jimmy Buffett by Buffett’s band the Coral Reefer Band.
The Cultural Exchange Pavilion this year will feature the music and culture of Colombia including salsa, cumbia, and champeta music; artists, food vendors, and daily parades will also be a part of the festivities.
