The Golden Globe Awards kick off Hollywood awards season with their annual awards presentations on January 7 in what is sometimes seen as a preview to the Academy Awards.

Ater missing a year of live television in protest over how the Hollywood Foreign Press Association operated; the organization has reorganized with a more diverse group.

This year “Barbie” leads the list of nominees with nine; “Oppenheimer” followed with eight. “Poor Things” and “Killers of the Flower Moon” also garnered multiple nominations.

Awarding both film and television trophies, the hit show “Succession” led the way on the TV side with nine nominations.  Netflix led the way in the most total nominations with 13.
