A part of the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade festivities includes some of the current  Brodway productions giving performances on the stage outside of the Macy’s Department Store in New York City; as well as appearing on some of the floats in the parade.

Several of those productions saw a boost in attendance and at the box office in the week following Thanksgiving.

“How to Dance in Ohio” and “A Beautiful Noise” were a part of the Macy’s holiday festivities; the new production “Harmony” also saw a big boost but still falls well below the million dollar mark and the 90 percent capacity.

Currently there are a total of 26 productions running on Broadway; which brought in a total of $29.6 million last week.

The Lion King” continues to top the list with a box office draw of $2 million.  “Wicked” also hit the $2 million mark this past week.  “Hamilton”, “Merrily We Roll Along”, and “MJ The Musical” round out the top five for the week.

Of the 26 productions, half of them had a capacity of at least 90 percent with “Hamilton” and “Merrily We Roll Along” reaching 100 percent.
