Since joining RFK Racing as a driver/owner, Brad Keselowski has made a number of changes to the teams that saw both himself and RFK driver Chris Buescher in the playoffs.

Keselowski is looking to expand the team…at least for the Daytona 500…with the addition of the #Stage60 BuildSubmarines.com number 60 car with David Ragan behind the wheel.  RFK hopes to make this just the beginning of several races with the number 60 car.

Driving the number 60 car is a return to the team for Ragan who drove the car when the team was still Roush Racing.

Ragan spoke on joining RFK via a press release saying, “it’s really exciting to be back in an RFK Ford.   I spent some of the best years of my career driving for Mr. Jack (Roush) and the team at RFK. They really gave me my first opportunity in the sport and I have to thank BuildSubmarines.com for helping make this happen. We had a really strong run going in my last year at Roush at the 500, and hopefully we can go back and finish what we started.”

While the number 60 car has never run in a Cup Series race, the car racked up 94 wins in the Xfinity Series with Mark Martin, Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle, and Chris Buescher.

President of RFK Racing Steve Newmark spoke on the new car in a release saying, “the 60 car represents an opportunity for us to honor our past and look forward to the future of RFK Racing. We’re thankful to have partners like BuildSubmarines.com, who, like us, have a mission to grow and be best in class in all endeavors.”

Ragan has spent the last year as a driver coach  and designated test driver.  His two Cup Series wins both came on a superspeedway.

The number 60 car does not have a charter; therefore, Ragan will have to race his way into the 500 via one of the two dual qualifying races.
