Last year Country music legend Dolly Parton was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She has since recorded a rock album with the help of some friends called “Rockstar”.
The Hall of Fame entertainer has been making and writing music for over 50 years and has just scored her biggest album debut of her career. Her 30 song album has debuted at number one on six different Billboard music charts and gave Parton her biggest one week in album sales!
“Rockstar” sold 127,778 units and debuted at number one on the:

“Rockstar” gave Parton her 48th top 10 and eighth number one album on the Billboard Country Album chart to make her the female artist with the most top 10 albums.
Speaking on the accomplishment, Parton said, “Wow, this is a big Thrill!. I owe a thank you to the fans who have always been there for me. Their support made this achievement possible. I’d also like to thank my producer Kent Wells, all the wonderful artists, musicians, and engineers who brought their talents to this project.”
Outside of the United States, “Rockstar” also had some success debuting:
in the top five in the UK
top 10 in Germany
number one in Canada on the Country and Current Digital charts and number two on the Current Album Sales chart
number two in Australia on the Digital Albums chart and number three on the Country Albums chart
number two in Switzerland
