For nearly 40 years he Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has been inducting its newest members with memorable, if not epic performances; few of which were actually seen by anyone other than those who were there.

For many years the marathon performances were available on pay per view channels but even then, there was a time limit.

When the 2023 class of Hall of Famers gets inducted next month – George Michael, Missy Elliott, Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Chaka Khan, “Soul Train” creator Don Cornelius, and Kate Bush – the ceremonies will be broadcast live for the first time; with streaming the following day.

Scheduled to perform at the gala event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn are Sir Elton John, Brandi Carlile, Dave Matthews, H.E.R., Chris Stapleton, ST. Vincent, and the New Edition.

Disney + will carry the ceremonies live on November 3.  ABC will present a “highlights” broadcast on January 1.

Executive vice president for Walt Disney Television Rob Mills spoke on the broadcast saying, “the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony has been the home to some of the most memorable moments in music history and celebrates the immeasurable impact these artists have had on the industry and culture.  We are so excited to offer audiences a front-row seat.”

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is located in Cleveland, Ohio and features floors of exhibits from Hall of Famers over the past 40 plus years.
