“Music is the greatest drug in the world and best of all, it isn’t bad for you.”
With a CD collection large enough to rival a small store and a couple hundred LP’s; along with a stash of cassettes somewhere; picking out a single album as a favourite is next to impossible. Then there is the thousands of songs in my iTunes library.
My musical collection is wide and varied from classical to pop, jazz to rock, and new age to bluegrass; my choices are based more on mood or what I am about to do. I have music just for fun and music to get things moving. But I also have tunes to help me chill out and settle down and other music to help me think and write.
There is always some music playing in my home and with an ipod of nearly 4,000 songs on shuffle, I never know what is next.
Ut as to who I like…George Michael, Barry Manilow, Yanni, Ricky Skaggs, Pat Methany, Sting, Andrea Boccelli, Levi Kreis, and Baroque classical music are always at the top of the list, but they by no means dominate the musical selection list. There’s always room for Enya, Josh Groban, Keith Urban, Ricky Martin, rock and roll with Do Driver, and Pink Floyd!
