Fifty years ago Pink Floyd released their iconic album “Dark Side of the Moon”.

In celebration of that historic event, Pink Floyd tribute bands are performing the album in its entirety as a part of their shows.

On August 19 the Pink Floyd tribute band The Machine gave an outdoor performance at the Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino in Niagara Falls, New York complete with a laser light show that will not soon be forgotten.

During the first half of the show The Machine performed a variety of Pink Floyd tunes including “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” – a song that showed the songwriting genius that was the original Pink Floyd.

But, The Machine showed their genius as well in their abilities to perform the music flawlessly and with such passion that if you closed your eyes, you could not tell the difference from the tribute band and the original when it came to performance.

In the second half of the show, The Machine performed all of “Dark Side of the Moon” without stopping.  To end the night of incredible music was a two song encore of “Wish You Were Here” and “Comfortably Numb”.

Outside with the hotel looking on, The Machine was not constrained by the normal indoor curfew for casino performances; but even with that the two and a half hours of music was not enough.  The band could have played on and held the rapture of the audience.
