This week the SRX Racing Series travels to Berlin Raceway in Michigan to race before a sold out crowd.

After his win last week, Rowdy returns this week for another race but one of the drivers who has been a part of SRX since the beginning is no longer with the series.  After causing another pile up last week, SRX has suspended Paul Tracy.  Johnny Benson is taking over for Tracy this week.

Berlin Raceway is not an oval but a circle with no outside wall on part of the track.

New this week, the heat races are now 30 laps or 16 minutes of racing.  The field will be inverted after heat one for heat two.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag start of heat one with home town hero Johnny Benson alongside.  Busch jumps out in front for the lead with Johnny Benson in second; Brad Keselowski, Marco Andretti and Kevin Harvick round out the top five.

Lap 10, Kyle Busch has a lead ov over a second on Brad Keselowski; Johnny Benson, Marco Andretti, and Kevin Harvick round out the top five.

Lap 14, Brad Keselowski has closed the gap on leader Kyle Busch to under a second.

Lap 17, Kyle Busch has the lead but is now less than half a second in front of Brad Keselowski.

With 12 laps to go, Brad Keselowski is just a quarter of a second behind Kyle Busch.

The caution flag comes out for a lightning strike with just eleven laps remaining in the heat.

Ten to go, Brad Keselowski battles with Kyle Busch for the lead.  Keselowski takes the lead but Busch comes back to continue the battle.

Tony Stewart will sit on the pole for the second heat.

At the end of heat number one, it began to rain but the rains did not last long and the drivers get moving again shortly.

The packed house cheers as the cars come out of the garage to prepare for heat number two.  But the rains begin again and the cars head back for the garage.

Crews are not allowed to touch the cars during the break between heats.

Some of the drivers are reporting tight conditions in the cars.

After a break of over 15 minutes, the drivers get back out on the track and are getting ready for heat number two.

Tony Stewart brings the field down for the green flag start of heat number two.  Due to the rain issue, the heat has been shorted to 25 laps or 12 minutes.  Drivers spread out once the green flag flies.  Tony Stewart gets out in front for the lead with Ken Schrader in second; Marco Andretti, Kasey Kahne, and Bobby Labonte round out the top five.

Lap 15, after starting the heat from the back of the field, Brad Keselowski and Kyle Busch have moved up three spots.

Lap 62, the caution flag comes out.  Hailie Deegan and Kevin Harvick were in a battle when the caution came out but there was no damage to the cars.

Helio Castroneves brings the field down for the green flag restart with 33 laps to go.  Castroneves gets out in front for the lead as Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski battle for second.

Lap 72, the top three drivers are nose to tail with Helio Castroneves in the lead; Kyle Busch in second, and Brad Keselowski in third.

With less than 20 laps to go, the drivers are getting aggressive all through the field.

The caution flag comes out with just 16 laps to go.
