Two years ago, “Back to the Future” ran on the West End and earned an Olivier Award.

On June 30 the musical debuted on Broadway in previews.  After only four showings, the show broke the million dollar mark.  In week two of its preview run, “Back to the Future” ran six showings and continues to be a part of the Million Dollar Club.   A total of 12 of the 30 productions currently running on Broadway topped the million dollar mark with “The Lion King” topping the list at over $2 million.

While 14 productions reached the 90 percent attendance mark, only “Hamilton” reached the 100 percent capacity at 101.05 percent.

However, three shows closed last week and the overall attendance and box office take dropped over 10 percent.
