Noah Gragson was among the drivers this past weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway that had brake rotor issues and crashed his car.
Earlier this week Gragson began suffering form “concussion like symptoms”. As a result, Gragson will not be behind the wheel of the Legacy Motor Club number 42 car at Sonoma Raceway this weekend.
Truck Series driver Grant Enfinger will be driving the number 42.
Co-owners of LMC Jimmie Johnson and Maury Gallagher spoke on the decision saying, ““Noah’s health is the highest of priorities and we commend him for making the decision to sit out this weekend. We are appreciative that Grant was available and willing to step in since the Truck Series is off this weekend.”
The fan vote winner for the annual All Star Race, Noah Gragson is currently 32nd in the points standings. Gragson is in his rookie year with the Cup Series after moving up from the Xfinity Series JR Motorsports to replace Ty Dillon.
A Craftsman Truck Series veteran, Grant Enfinger will be making the Cup Series debut on the road course at Sonoma.
Speaking on his opportunity to drive the number 42 car Enfinger said, “my thoughts are with Noah, I know how much he loves this team and the guys on it. I’m happy to help out Legacy Motor Club and the number 42 team.”
