The Memorial Day weekend races are always filled with pomp and circumstance as NASCAR honours military members who lost their lives in the line of duty.  It is also the longest race of the season for the Cup Series with a 600 mile race.

This past weekend the races and the weekend got much longer when Mother Nature stepped in and dumped rain all over the area causing red flags and postponed races.  The result was racing on Memorial Day itself with the track not going quiet until nearly midnight.

With all three series racing, there was plenty of action on the track when the rains had finally dried up.
