Last year Dolly Parton reluctantly accepted induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
She has since recorded a rock album of her own – “Rockstar” – with several collaborations including some all star musicians. The album is a collection of 30 songs including nine original tunes.
Set for a November 17 release, the album will be available as a four viny LP, two CD’s, and as a digital download. The album will also be available via streaming services.
Speaking on the album, Parton said, “I’m so excited to finally present my first Rock and Roll album Rockstar! I am very honored and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure. I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together.”
Co-hosting the Academy of Country Music Awards with Garth Brooks on May 11, Parton will debut the first single from the album “World on Fire”.
