During the race at Kansas last weekend, Austin Cindric’s car lost a wheel with the wheel well going one direction and the tire another.
On Tuesday, NASCAR assessed a penalty on the number two Team Penske car for violation of the tire/wheel rule and the “separation” of the wheel. NASCAR stated that the number two car violated Section 8.8.10.4.A and C of the NASCAR rule book; resulting in crew members Keiston France and Patrick Gray being suspended for the next two Series events.
As head of competition Elton Sawyer stated earlier, no penalties were assessed for the post race pit road altercation between Noah Gragson and Ross Chastain.
