Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often?

In the Bible, Jesus tells the story of the good Samaritan, who looks after a citizen who has fallen on the road.

The parable comes from an earlier tale, where a pagan goes to Rabbi, Gamaliel and says I will convert. If you can tell me all there is in the Torah while I stand on 1 foot. Rabbi Gamaliel sent the pagan away.

The pagan went to Rabbi Hillel and again said, I will convert if you can tell me all there is to know while I stand on one foot. Rabbi Hillel said, that which is harmful to you, do not to others…all else is commentary. Go forth and study.

I try to remember that when I interact with others…if it is harmful to me, then it would be harmful to them and unwise to do so.
