It’s that time of year again, the NFL Draft has arrived and for the first time in NFL history it has come to the home of the 2023 Super Bowl Champions – Kansas City, Missouri.
Award winning singer Oleta Adams gets the festivities started with a performance of “Lift Every Voice and Sing”.
The NFL paid tribute to the three University of Virginia players who were killed in an on campus shooting – D’Sean Perry, Lavel Davis, Jr, and Devin Chandler. The families of the fallen players take the stage and NFL Commisoner Roger Goddell announces that the first pick of the 2023 NFL Draft are Perry, Davis, and Chandler. Their families are given shirts with their names and the number 23. The shirts represented the players favourite NFL teams.
