After the wild ride that was the Bristol Dirt Race on Sunday night, the penalty report for this week is very light with only two suspensions listed.

Prior to the race on Easter Sunday, NASCAR and Rick Ware Racing announced that Cody Ware was stepping away from the number 51 car to attend to a “personal matter”.  Matt Crafton took over driving the 51 car at Bristol Motor Speedway.

On Monday it was revealed that Cody Ware has been suspended indefinitely after he was arrested on assault charges.  It was announced today that Craftsman Truck Series driver and reigning champion Zane Smith will be driving the number 51 car.

Crew member Michael Hayden has also been suspended indefinitely for violation of the NASCAR rule book sections 2.14.A and 4.4D – behavioural related.  Other than stating the rule violations, NASCAR did not provide any further information on the suspension.
