Kyle Larson became the sixth different winner in the Cup Series after his win at Richmond Raceway on April 2 in the first of three short track races. 

But after having in penalty points restored, Alex Bowman continues to hold on to the points lead with 263.  In the playoff points, William Byron has the lead with 2,022 points and two race wins.

Waiting for his appeals hearing later this week and hoping that he too will have his points restored, Justin Haley has finally moved into positive points; although it is just one point.

In the Xfinity Series, the series saw a new winner when Chandler Smith earned his first career win at Richmond in the ToyotaCare 250.  Smith became the fourth winner this season; joining Sammy Smith and John Hunter Nemechek with one win each and Austin Hill with three wins.  Cup Series drivers Kyle Busch and AJ Allmendinger fill out the season so far.

Austin Hill leads in the point standings with 277 and the playoff standings with 2,033 points.

Running a stand alone event this week, the Craftsman Truck Series raced at Texas Motor Speedway with Carson Hocevar getting his first win in overtime.  While the pomp and circumstance of victory lane carried on as usual, there was one big change this year…the winners will not be receiving the traditional six shooters for winning the race.  Considering recent events, track officials decided to forego the presentation of fire arms for winning the race.

Ty Majeski leads the point standings with 206 points.  Defending Truck Series champion Zane Smith leads the playoff points with 2,021 points and two race wins.
