This summer the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) will launch its third season on a new network and day when it moves from CBS to ESPN for Thursday Night Thunder.

Also new for this coming season are three new drivers…all active NASCAR Cup Series drivers Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick; along with retired driver Clint Bowyer.  Last season Ryan Blaney and Chase Elliott also participated in the series.

SRX is a six race season of short track racing created by NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Tony Stewart and former crew chief Ray Evernham.  Twelve drivers run two heats and a feature race in identically prepared cars; similar to the old IROC series where drivers must rely on their skill as a racer to win the race.

SRX drivers come from IndyCar, NASCAR, and local short tracks.  Along with the veteran drivers, each race includes a “local hero” who is a star on the track of the week.
