Previously, NASCAR announced that the Latin Hip-Hop group Cypress Hill will be performing as a part of the pre-race festivities before the second annual Busch Light Clash on February 5.  Following up last year’s performances by Ice-T and Mr. World Wide Pitbull; NASCAR is following up with more Hip-Hop artists.

It has just been announced that Hip-Hop artist Wiz Khalifa will also be performing during the race break during The Clash at the Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles.

Senior vice president for racing development and strategy at NASCAR spoke on the artists saying, “Wiz Khalifa is a gifted and talented performer with a worldwide following.  I know the fans will be on their feet during his performance at the Busch Light Clash as we celebrate the beginning of our 75th Anniversary season together.”

Speaking on his upcoming performance Khalifa said, “the NASCAR cars will bring the noise, and I’ll bring the party.  We’re going to have a great time celebrating together at the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum, and I can’t wait to see everybody there.”

Khalifa came on the music scene in 2011 and has since won a BET Awards Best New Artist and Top New Artist at the Billboard Music Awards.  The Grammy and Golden Globe nominated artist has collaborated with numerous artists including The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Charlie Puth, Bruno Mars, Imagine Dragons, Juicy J, TM88, Girl Talk, and Big K.R.I.T.  He released a new album last year – “Multiverse” and in the spring he will play funk artist George Clinton in the film “Spinning Gold”.

On the business front he has invested in a Fighters League and delivery only ghost kitchens.

Again this year tickets for The Clash start at $65 for adults and just $10 for kids 12 and under.  A special standing room only Coca-Cola Torch Party Porch is available to college students for $40.

The Ally Pre-Race Party includes a brunch, a ticket for Busch and Coca-Cola products, exclusive entertainment, a pre-race track walk, and a special appearance by Ally driver Alex Bowman.
