The only child of award winning rocker Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie, has died after being rushed to a local hospital with cardiac arrest.   She was less than three weeks from her 55th birthday and was in Memphis days earlier marking the anniversary of the death of her father Elvis on January 8.  She was just nine years old when Elvis died in 1977 as the result of heart issues.

First responders arrived six minutes after a 9-1-1 call when CPR was performed before transferring Presley to a hospital where she later died.

Presley was among those who attended the Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton on Tuesday night.

Looking to follow in her father’s footsteps, she released an album “To Whom it May Concern”.



Sometimes known as the Princess of Rock and Roll, Lisa Marie Presley was born on February 1, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee.  Her ex-husbands include Nicolas Cage and Michael Jackson who reportedly proposed over the phone.

Married and divorced four times, she is predeceased by her son Benjamin, Lisa Marie is survived by her mother Priscila and children Riley, Harper, and Finley.
