For the second week in a row, NASCAR has penalized the number 54 Joe Gibbs Racing car driven by Ty Gibbs for having an improperly secured lug nut in the post race inspection after the Xfinity Series race at Phoenix Raceway.

After dominating the race, Gibbs drove the number 54 car to victory and the Xfinity Series championship.

As a result of the infraction crew chief Chris Gayle was fined $5,000.
