The Camping World Truck Series gets a triple header weekend started off with the Baptist Health Cancer Care 200.  This is the final race before the championship for the Truck Series.

With a race win, Ty Majeski is the only driver from the playoffs who has secured himself a spot in the final four after his win at Bristol.  Currently Chandler Smith, Zane Smith, and Ben Rhodes are above the cut line.  Christian Eckes, Stewart Friesen, John Hunter Nemechek, and Grant Enfinger are currently below the cut line and are facing elimination from the playoffs.

Thirty-seven teams brought trucks to the Homestead-Miami for 36 starting spots.

Ryan Preece put his number 17 truck on the pole with Ben Rhodes alongside on the front row after qualifying was rained out and NASCAR set the field according to their metric.

Clay Greenfield is the only driver not to make the lineup.

Pole sitter Ryann Preece, Lawless Alan, and Nick Leitz will have to start the race from the back of the field after the crews made some unapproved adjustments to the trucks.

Stages one and two of the race are 30 laps each with stage three lasting 74 laps for a total of 134 laps around the mile and a half track.  The drivers can run 50 to 55 laps on a single load of fuel but tire wear will be a bigger concern for the crews.

With Ryan Preece moving to the rear of the field, Ben Rhodes becomes the control truck and leads the field down for the green flag start of the race from the outside lane.  Drivers quickly spread out across the track with Ben Rhodes taking the lead.

Lap two, Ben Rhodes leads the race with Chandler Smith in second; Christian Eckes, Matt DiBenedetto and Zane Smith round out the top five.  Six of the eight playoff drivers are in the top 10.

John Hunter Nemechek brushed the wall but the track stays green.

Lap four, Ben Rhodes has a third of a second lead on Chandler Smith; Christian Eckes, Zane Smith, and stewart Friesen round out the top five. 

Lap seven, after starting from the back of the field, Ryan Preece ahs entered the top 20 in 19th place.  Ben Rhodes has pulled out to a half second lead on Chandler Smith; Zane Smith, Christian Eckes, and Stewart Friesen round out the top five.  All eight of the playoff drivers are now in the top 13.

Lap 13, John Hunter Nemechek slaps the wall for a second time.

Lap 14, John Hunter Nemechek blows a tire and works his way to pit road; the track stays green.  There is a lot of damage to Nemechek’s truck.

Lap 15, Ben Rhodes has pulled out to a second and a half lead on Chandler Smith; Zane Smith, Stewart Friesen, and Christian Eckes round out the top five.  Ty Majeski is up to sixth place.

Lap 18, Ryan Preece is just outside the top 10 in eleventh.

Lap 19, the top six drivers are playoff drivers; Grant Enfinger is in eighth with John Hunter Nemechek two laps down after hitting the wall and getting a flat tire.

Lap 21, John Hunter Nemechek makes a second trip down pit road with another flat tire.

Lap 22, Ben Rhodes has led every lap so far and has a  lead of over a second and a half on Chandler Smith.

Lap 24, Zane Smith passes Chandler Smith for second.

Lap 27, Zane Smith has closed the ga on lead Ben Rhodes to just one second; Stewart Friesen, Ty Majeski, and Grant Enfinger round out the top five.  There are 32 trucks on the lead lap.

Ben Rhodes wins stage one by less than half a second on Zane Smith for his ninth stage win of the season.

Drivers come down pit road for service with Zane Smith winning the race off of pit road.  Ben Rhodes comes out in third.

Parker Kligerman was caught speeding on pit road.  Matt Crafton was charged with having a crew member come over the wall too soon.  Blaine Perkins was charged with crew member interference.

Zane Smith brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two on lap 37 from the outside lane with Grant Enfinger alongside.  Zane Smith edges out for the lead.  Ben Rhodes makes it a three way battle for the lead with Smith and Grant Enfinger to take the lead.

After starting last, Ryan Preece is in fifth place.

Lap 38, Ben Rhodes leads the race with Grant Enfinger in second; Zane Smith, Ty Majeski, and Ryan Preece round out the top five.

Lap 39, Grant Enfinger battles Ben Rhodes for the lead; so far Rhodes holds him off.  Zane Smith comes ou to take second and Ryan Preece takes fourth.

Seven of the eight playoff drivers are in the top 10 with John Hunter Nemechek two laps down.

Lap 41, Ben Rhodes and Zane Smith battle for the lead with Rhodes holding on from the outside lane.

Lap 42, Zane Smith battles with Ben Rhodes for the lead and this time takes the lead; Grant Enfinger, Ryan Preece, and Ty Majeski round out the top five.

Lap 44, ane Smith has pulled out to a lead of over half a second on Ben Rhodes.

Ryan Preece passed Ben Rhodes for second.

Lap 45, Ty Majeski passes Ryan Preece for second; but the battle isn’t over, the two drivers continue to battle for the spot.

Lap 48, Zane Smith leads the race with Ty Majeski in second; Ryan Preece, Ben Rhodes, and Christian Eckes round out the top five.

Lap 50, Zane Smith has a one second lead on Ty Majeski.

Lap 51, the top three drivers are separated by one second each with Ty Majeski one second behind leader Zane Smith and Ryan Preece two seconds behind the leader.

Lap 53, Christian Eckes and Ben Rhodes battle for fourth.

Lap 54, Zane Smith has a lead of a second and a half on Ty Majeski; Ryan Preece, Ben Rhodes, and Christian Eckes round out the top five.

Grant Enfinger, who is currently below the cut line and must win to stay in the playoffs, is reporting some handling issues and the crew is discussing removing a packer during the pit stop.

Lap 57, the drivers are all reporting some issues as the tires wear out and are all looking for some grip.

Lap 58, Zane Smith has a second and a half lead on Ty Majeski; Ryan Preece, Stewart Friesen, and Ben Rhodes round out the top five.

Ryan Preece was the only driver in the top five who is not in the playoffs.

Drivers come down pit road for service with Ryan Preece winning the race off of pit road.

Telling pit reporters that he has a very fast truck after winning the pole, Ryan Preece has come from the back of the field to take the lead and bring the field down for the green flag start of stage three on lap 67.  The drivers quickly get four wide across the track with Ty Majeski taking the lead and Ryan Preece in second; Zane Smith, Christian Eckes, and Grant Enfinger rounding out the top five.

The drives will have to make a pit stop for fuel to make it to the end of the race.  Tires are more important to the crews with the massive fall off in grip during the first two stages.

Lap 70 Ty Majeski and Zane Smith battle for the lead; so far Majeski has held him off.

Lap 71, Christian Eckes passes Ryan Preece for third but the battle continues.

Lap 72, all 36 trucks are still on the track with 31 trucks on the lead lap.

Lap 73, Ty Majeski has a third of a second lead on Zane Smith; Corey Heim, Christian Eckes, and Grant Enfinger round out the top five.

Lap 81, Grant Enfinger gets into the wall and cuts a tire.  The track stays green as Enfinger works his way to pit road from sixth place.

Lap 82, Ty Majeski has a lead of over half a second on Zane Smith; Corey Heim, Christian Eckes, and Stewart Friesen round out the top five.

Fifty to go, Ty Majeski has a one second lead on Zane Smith; Corey Heim, Christian Eckes, and Stewart Friesen round out the top five.

Lap 90, Corey Heim battles Stewart Friesen for third.

With 44 laps remaining in the race, there are 27 trucks on the lead lap with Ty Majeski a second in front of Zane Smith; Stewart Friesen, Corey Heim, and Christian Eckes round out the top five.

Lap 94, Christian Eckes passes Corey Heim for fourth.

Lap 95, Ryan Preece is the first driver to come down pit road for his green flag pit stop.  Drivers will gain about three seconds per lap with fresh tires for a short time.

Lap 96, more drivers begin coming down pit road for their pit stops.

Lap 99, leader Ty Majeski makes his green flag pit stop and gives the lead over to Timmy Hill.


Timmy Hill is the only driver who has yet to make his green flag pit stop.

Lap 102, Timmy Hill finally makes his green flag pit stop and gives the lead over to Ty Majeski.

Lap 105, the top five are Ty Majeski, Zane Smith, Ryan Preece, Stewart Friesen, and Corey Heim.

With 27 laps remaining in the race, Ty Majeski has a lead of over half a second on Zane Smith; Ryan Preece, Stewart Friesen, and Corey Heim round out the top five.

The final four playoff picture is still very murky for most of the drivers.  TY Majeski is assured of a spot in the final four but after getting into the wall and two flat tires, John Hunter Nemechek is three laps down and out of the playoffs.

Stewart Friesen is clocking the fastest laps on the track.

Twenty to go, Ty Majeski has a lead of nearly two seconds on Zane Smith; Ryan Preece, Stewart Friesen, and Corey Heim round out the top five.

Lap 117, Jack Wood gets into the wall but the track stays green.

Just 14 laps to go, Ty Majeski has a two and a half second lead on Zane Smith; Stewart Friesen, Ryan Prrece, and Corey Heim round out the top five.

When the Truck Series raced on the dirt at Bristol, every truck finished the race; it was the first time in truck series history that such a feat occurred; with 10 laps remaining in the race, all 36 trucks are still on the track.

Ty Majeski has pulled out to a lead of nearly four seconds on Zane Smith; Stewart Friesen, Ryan Preece, and Corey Heim round out the top five.

Stewart Friesen and Ben Rhodes are tied on the cut line but Ben Rhodes wins the tie breaker if they finish the race in the same order.  The tie breaker is which driver finished the highest in the round.

Six to go, John Hunter Nemechek gets into the wall again but the track stays green.

Ty Majeski has a lead of over four seconds on Zane Smith; Stewart Friesen, Ryan Preece, and Corey Heim round out the top five.  Ben Rhodes passes Christian Eckes to go one point above the cut line and putting Stewart Friesen one point below.

With a lead of nearly four and a half seconds, Ty Majeski takes the white flag.

Winning his second race of the round…and the season, Ty Majeski wins the race.

With his two wins Ty Majeski will compete for the championship in Phoenix; as will Zane Smith, Chandler Smith, and Ben Rhodes.  Stewart Friesen, Christian Eckes, Grant Enfinger, and John Hunter Nemechek have been eliminated as playoff drivers.
