Irish rocker and knight Bono is known for his music and humanitarian contributions; but now the lead singer for U2 will be launching on a solo tour, not as a musician but as an author.
Bono’s memoir “SURRENDER: 40 Songs, One Story” is set to hit stores on November 1. Beginning November 2, Bono will begin a 14 city tour of North America and Europe to promote the book.
Bono spoke on the upcoming tour saying, “I miss being on stage and the closeness of U2’s audience. In these shows I’ve got some stories to sing, and some songs to tell… Plus I want to have some fun presenting my ME-moir, SURRENDER, which is really more of a WE-moir if I think of all the people who helped me get from there to here.”
Tickets for Bono’s book tour go on sale October 7 at 10am local time. Tickets are limited to two per person and each ticket comes with a copy of the book.
