In his autobiography Sir Elton John speaks of his life and career with a series of stories that at times is more of a stream of consciousness of thoughts.

But in the new book “Elton John @ 75”, the story of his life and career are told via 75 accomplishments in the career of this musical icon and legend.

Along with 200 pages in the hardcover book filled with some 300 photos is an envelope containing an 8X10 photo of Sir Elton and a foldout poster.

Life began for Reginal Kenneth Dwight on March 25, 1947; but after deciding that the name was too mundane, especially for a flamboyant piano player; the world was introduced to Elton Hercules John in 1967.  He took the names from two of his then band mates.

“Elton John @ 75” begins with his birth and tracks the icon’s musical career with those early bands, meeting longtime songwriting partner Bernie Taupin, the music, life events, and the making of the legend.

Along with the stories and hundreds of photos is a fold out with the timeline of Sir Elton and one with a montage of Sir Elton through the years.

A knight of the British Empire and a Hall of Fame artist, Sir Elton has a trophy case filled with Grammy, Tony, Oscar, and Ivor Novella Awards but has also seen fit to give back.  He has raised and donated millions of dollars over the years to AIDS awareness, research, and assistance for those who has the disease.

After a break due to the COVID pandemic, the original “Rocket Man” is winding down his touring career but will certainly not be hiding in the shadows.

“Elton John @ 75” is set for a November 1 release and is surely a must have for any Sir Elton fan.  The hardcover book comes in a case and is priced at $75 in the U.S.  The book is available for pre-order on Amazon.
