After the Xfinity Series Crayon 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on July 16, NASCAR disqualified two of the drivers for rule book violations.
After the post race inspection process, NASCAR officials ruled that the number nine JR Motorsports car driven by Noah Gragson and the number 10 Kaulig Racing car driven by Landon Cassill were both found to have violated the ride height rules. In Gragson’s case his front end ride heights were too low and for Cassill the ride heights in the rear end of the car were too low.
As a result of the penalties, Cassill’s third place finish and Gragson’s fourth place finish have been voided and the drivers are listed as having finished the race in 37th and 38th. The revised top five are Justin Allgaier, Trevor Bayne, Brandon Brown, Jeremy Clements, and Austin Hill.
Gragson has a race win already this season and will be a part of the playoffs, but for Cassill, he drops to 12th in the standings – right on the cut line – and is in danger of not making the playoffs.
