The NASCAR Cup Series travels to New Hampshire Motor Speedway to take on the Magic Mile for the Ambetter 301.

After just 20 minutes of practice time. The drivers are divided into two groups for qualifying with the top five drivers in each group moving on to round two to determine who will sit on the pole.

The first driver on the track to make a qualifying run is the number 78 car driven by BJ McLeod who posted a time of 30.885 seconds around the one mile track.

William Byron is the first driver to break the 30 second mark with a time of 29.945 seconds.

With a time of 30.070 seconds, Bubba Wallace is the first driver to run faster in his qualifying run than he did in practice.

Out of Group A; William Byron, Bubba Wallace, Aric Almirola, Brad Keselowski, and Chas Elliott will move on to round two.

AJ Allmendinger gets Group B started off with a time of 30.391 seconds.

Kurt Busch is the first driver in Group B to break the 30 second mark with 29.669 seconds.

In Group B the top five drivers moving on to round two are Kurt Busch, Kyle Larson, Martin Truex Jr, Kevin Harvick, and Christopher Bell.

After two rounds of qualifying, Martin Truex Jr puts his numb 19 car on the pole with a time of 29.964 seconds.  Chase Elliott will start alongside on the front row.  This is Truex’s first pole with Joe Gibbs Racing.

The 23XI Racing drivers just missed out on the team’s first pole but will start the race from the second row.

After a short delay for a rain storm, the drives climb in their cars and get ready to race 300 miles.

Stage one of the race is 70 laps with stage two lasting 115 laps and stage three lasting 116 laps for a total of 301 laps around the one mile track.

Martin Truex Jr brings the field down for the green flag start of the race and gets out in front for the lead.

Lap two, Martin Truex Jr leads the race with Bubba Wallace in second; Chase Elliott, Kurt Busch, and William Byron round out the top five.

Lap three, Martin Truex Jr has a half second lead on Bubba Wallace; Chase Elliott, Kurt Busch, and Kyle Larson round out the top five.

Lap five, Ty Dillon and Justin Haley make contact and then gets into the wall.  Josh Bilicki, BJ McLeod, and Alex Bowman were also involved after getting caught up in the melee.

Martin Truex Jr brings the field down for the green flag restart from the outside lane with Bubba Wallace alongside on lap 13.  Truex holds on to the lead after edging out Wallace.

Lap 14, Martin Truex Jr leads the race with Bubba Wallace nearly a half second back; Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, and Kurt Busch round out the top five.

Lap 17, Martin Truex Jr has a lead of over half a second on Bubba Wallace; Chase Elliott, Kurt Busch, and Kyle Larson round out the top five.

Lap 21, Martin Truex Jr holds on to a lead of over half a second on Bubba Wallace; Chase Elliott, Kurt Busch, and Kyle Larson round out the top five.

After being involved in the lap five crash; Josh Bilicki, J McLeod, Alex Bowman, and Ty Dillon are out of the race.

Lap 33, Martin Truex Jr has pulled out to a second and a half lead on Bubba Wallace; Chase Elliott is in third place three seconds back with Kyle Larson and Kurt Busch rounding out the top five.

There are 31 cars on the lead lap.  Cody Ware is the only driver not on the lead lap.

Lap 37, Martin Truex Jr has led every lap for far with Bubba Wallace in second; Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, and Kurt Busch round out the top five.

William Byron reports that he is bouncing really bad and has no grip.

Lap 40, Martin Truex Jr has increased his lead to nearly two seconds on Bubba Wallace; Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, and Kurt busch round out the top five.

Lap 43, Bubba Wallace has closed the gap on leader Martin Truex Ju to under a second and a half; Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, and Kurt Busch round out the top five.

Lap 51, Martin Truex Jr has increased his lead to nearly two seconds on Bubba Wallace; Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, and Kurt Busch round out the top five.

Kyle Busch is reporting some chattering in his car.

Lap 54, Kevin Harvick passes Kurt Busch for fifth place.

Lap 55, Martin Truex Jr has a lead of over two seconds on Bubba Wallace; Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, and Kevin Harvick round out the top five.  Leaders have encountered slower traffic.

Lap 59, Martin Truex Jr continues to increase his lead and I now three seconds in front of Bubba Wallace; Kyle Larson, Chase Ellioitt, and Kevin Harvick round out the top five.  There are 24 cars on the lead lap.

With 10 laps remaining in stage one, Kyle Larson and Bubba Wallace battle for second.

With eight laps remaining in stage one, Martin Truex Jr has pulled out to a lead of nearly four seconds on Bubba Wallace; Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, and Kevin Harvick round out the top five.

Four laps remain in stage one; Martin Truex Jr now has a four second lead on Bubba Wallace.

With a lead of nearly five seconds, Martin Truex Jr wins stage one for his sixth stage win of the season.

Drivers come down pit road for service with Martin Truex Jr winning the race off of pit road, followed by Kevin Harvick.  Bubba Wallace comes out fourth.

Taking the outside lane, Martin Truex Jr brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two with Kevin Harvick in the inside on lap 78.  Truex jumps out in front for the lead as drivers get three wide in the field.

Kyle Busch spins out and brings out the caution flag.  Busch did not hit anything or any other driver.

The teams have only seven sets of tires for this weekend.

Martin Truex Jr brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 84 with Kyle Larson on the inside lane.  Truex edges out for the lead with Kyle Larson in second; Kevin Harvick, Bubba Wallace, and Kurt Busch round out the top five as the drivers go three wide in a battle for position.

Denny Hamlin lost nine spots on the track after a slow pit stop due to a tire issue.

Lap 87, Martin Truex Jr has a lead of nearly a second on Kyle Larson; Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch, and Bubba Wallace round out the top five.

Lap 88, Kyle Busch has re-entered the top 20 after spinning out.  He is up to 18th after the crew chief put scuff tires on the car.

The caution flag comes out on lap 90 for a big wreck.  Corey LaJoie’s car has flames coming out from underneath.  Harrison Burton and Michael McDowell were also involved.  La Joie reports that the rear end locked up on him.

Pit road is a very busy place as the drivers come down for fresh tires and fuel.  Several of the teams took fuel only with Martin Truex Jr winning the race off of pit road.

Joey Logano, Austin Cindric, and Chris Buescher stay out on the track.

Chase Elliott has to make a second trip down pit road with loose wheels.

After staying out on the track, Joey Logano brings the field down for the green flag restart with Austin Cindric alongside on lap 101.  Logano gets out in front for the lead.

Joey Logano leads the race with Chris Buescher in second; Martin Truex Jr, Austin Cindric, and Kevin Harvick round out the top five.

Drivers are getting three wide in a battle for position.

Lap 110, Joey Logano has a lead of over half a second on Chris Buescher.  Martin Truex Jr passes Chris Buescher for second; Kevin Harvick and Austin Cindric round out the top five.  After having to make a second pit stop, Chase Elliott has moved up just outside the top 10 in eleventh.

Lap 117, Joey Logano holds on to the lead with Martin Truex Jr over half a second back; Chris Buescher, Kevin Harvick, and Austin Cindric round out the top five.

Lap 118, Chase Elliott passes Christopher Bell for tenth after restarting the race in 22nd.

Lap 120, Martin Truex Jr has caught up to leader Joey Logano and is battling for the lead.

Lap 121, Martin Truex Jr retakes the lead.

Lap 125, Martin Truex Jr has a one second lead on Joey Logano; Chris Buescher, Kevin Harvick, and Kyle Larson round out the top five.  Chase Elliott continues to pass cars is now in eighth place.

Lap 129, Martin Truex Jr has pulled out to a two second lead on Joey Logano; Chris Buescher, Kyle Larson, and Kevin Harvick round out the top five.

Lap 135, Martin Truex Jr has pulled out to a three second lead on Joey Logano; Kyle Larson, Kevin Harvick, and Austin Cindric round out the top five. 

Lap 139, Martin Truex Jr holds a lead of over three seconds on Joey Logano; Kyle Larson, Kevin Harvick, and Austin Cindric round out the top five with 25 cars on the lead lap.

Kurt Busch reports that he is too loose and has some chattering.

The caution flag comes out on lap 146 when Ryan Blaney gets loose and into the wall.

Drivers come down pit road for service; taking fuel only Martin Truex Jr wins the race off of pit road.

Martin Truex Jr brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 150 – halfway – and gets out in front for the lead.

The caution flag comes out on lap 152 for a Chase Briscoe spin.  Aric Almirola reports that he only has third gear.

Martin Truex Jr has led 130 laps so far.

Aric Almirola has gone to the garage with mechanical issues.

Lap 162, Martin Truex Jr has a one second lead on Joey Logano.

Kyle Busch spins out a second time and brings out the caution flag on lap 163.  He avoids wrecking other drivers.

Austin Dillon and Brad Keselowski have an on track encounter.  Dillion initiates the contact and Keselowski retaliates.  There is some damage to Keselowski’s car.

NBC crews search for a reason for the on track contact between Austin Dillon and Brad Keselowski…no one has a clue.

Martin Truex Jr brings the field down for the green flag r3start on lap 169 and jumps out int front for the lead with Kevin Harvick in second; Joey Logano, Chase Elliott, and Kurt Busch round out the top five.

With just 16 laps remaining in stage two, Martin Truex Jr has a one second lead on Kevin Harvick; Chase Elliott, Joey Logano, and Kurt Busch round out the top five.  Drivers are getting three wide in a battle for position.

Lap 173, Martin Truex Jr has a lead of nearly a second on Kevin Harvick; Chase Elliott, Joey Logano, and Kyle Larson round out the top five.

Denny Hamlin had a second slow stop when he slide through his pit stall trying not to run over an air hose.

Kyle Busch is the last car on the lead lap in 28th.

Martin Truex Jr wins stage two for the stage sweep.  This is his 15th stage sweep.

Aric Almirola returns to the track 16 laps down after the crew made some mechanical repairs.

Lap 197, Denny Hamlin and Ross Chastain are in a battle for position.

Lap 198, Martin Truex Jr has caught up to Chase Briscoe and is in a battle for the lead.

Lap 199, Martin Truex Jr passes Chase Briscoe on the outside to retake the lead.

Lap 200, Martin Truex Jr has a one second lead on Chase Elliott; Chase Briscoe, Kevin Harvick, and Kyle Busch round out the top five.

Denny Hamlin had another slow stop and lost four spots on the track after sliding again in his pit stall.

Lap 203, Martin Truex Jr has a near one second lead on Chase Elliott; Kevin Harvick, Chase Briscoe, and Kurt Busch round out the top five.

The ninth caution flag of the race comes out on lap 205 when Todd Gilliland spins out.

Most of the drivers come down pit road for fuel.  Austin Dillon gets sideways in his pit stall after being hit by Kevin Harvick who was coming out of his pit stall.  The drivers are on the edge of their fuel window to make it to the end of the race.

After staying out on the track, Kurt Busch brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 210 and gets out in front for the lead.

The top five are Kurt Busch, Joey Logano, Cole Custer, Kyle Larson, and William Byron.  Martin Truex Jr is in eighth place.

Lap 213, Kurt Busch has a lead of nearly a second on Joey Logano; Cole Custer, Kyle Larson, and Chase Elliott round out the top five.  With no cars just one lap down, there are 29 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 217, Martin Truex Jr reports that his car is “awful”; he has fallen out of the top 10.

Lap 219, Kurt Busch has a lead of nearly a second on Joey Logano; Chase Elliott, Cole Custer, and Christopher Bell round out the top five.
