After a much needed week off, the Camping World Truck Series returns for some fun in the sun at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for some road course racing with the O’Reilly Auto Parts 150.

Only two more races remain in the regular season and the playoffs begin.

A triple header weekend, the Truck Series is in a stand alone event with the Xfinity and Cup Series drivers in Atlanta.

This is also the final race in the Triple Truck Challenge where the winning driver can earn $50,000.  Already a Trip winner this season; Corey Heim has the opportunity to turn that $50,000 into even more if he can win the race.

A total of five drivers are making their Camping World Truck Series debut in Saturday’s race.

A road course race, the drivers will run even in bad weather.  As the drivers prepare to qualify for the race, there is rain in the area and the rain tires will go on.

During practice several of the drivers did some agricultural racing as they pushed the trucks to their limits.

Trackhouse owner Justin Marks is among the drivers looking to make the race this weekend.  Marks has not been in a truck since 2018.

The drivers have been divided into two groups for qualifying,  The top five drivers from each group will advance to a second round to determine who will sit on the pole.

Qualifying is turning into a tumultuous event for the drivers with them having difficulty in staying on the track.

Of the Group A drivers; Parker Kligerman, Carson Hocevar, John Hunter Nemechek, Matt Crafton, and Dylan Lupton were the top five drivers and will move on to round two.

In Group B; Matt DiBenedetto, Tyler Ankrum, Justin Marks, Corey Heim, and Taylor Gray will move on to round two.

Just as group B completed their qualifying run, the rains got much heavier.   Due to the heavier rains, NASCAR has called off round two of qualifying and will set the field by round one times; putting Corey Heim in the Kyle Busch Motorsports number 51 truck on the pole for his second career pole.  Part time driver and pit road reporter Parker Kligerman will start alongside on the front row.
