On May 31, NASCAR issued just one penalty after the triple header weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. They also issued a couple of suspensions.
After the Xfinity Series race on Saturday, the Alpha Prime number 44 car driven by Ryan Ellis was found to have a single lug nut improperly secured. As a result of the infraction, crew chief Michael Brandt has been fined $5,000.
NASCAR has suspended hauler driver Michael Adair for violations of the substance abuse policy. Adair has been suspended indefinitely from his job with the number 43 Petty GMS Motorsports team.
Xfinity Series number six JD Motorsports car crew chief Kase Kallenbach has also been suspended indefinitely for violation of NASCAR’s Code of Conduct policy.
NASCAR has reinstated Iwuji Motorsports number 34 crew chief Jason Houghtaling. He may now return to all NASCAR activities. Houghtaling was suspended on May 3 for violation of the NASCAR Conduct Code.
