After extending the Broadway theatre mask mandate to the end of May just a couple of weeks ago; the industry has made another adjustment for stage managers and actors.

While the vaccine mandate has been lifted for theatergoers, that mandate remains in place for actors and stage managers until at least June 26.

While no longer required to show proof of vaccination, theatergoers must still have their faces covered at least until May 31.

While outbreaks of the coronavirus have popped up in some productions that caused some interruptions in performances, the mandates have eliminated a large scale outbreak. Union members are also receiving an increase in their number of paid sick days to help compensate for anyone who must stay home due to a positive Covid diagnosis.
