After a week off, the Camping World Truck Series returns from the west coast to take on the newly configured Atlanta Motor Speedway and the Fr8 208.
Mother Nature took over the track on Friday and cancelled out all practice and qualifying sessions; as a result, NASCAR set the field according to their metric and allowed all of the drivers to have some practice time on Saturday morning prior to the start of the Truck Series race.
Chandler Smith sits on the pole and brings the field to the green flag with Stewart Friesen alongside on the front row.
Jordan Anderson, John Hunter Nemechek, Thad Moffitt, Chase Purdy, and Ty Majeski will all have to start the race from the back of the field after their crews made unapproved adjustments to their trucks.

Stages one and two of the race are 30 laps each with stage three lasting 75 laps for a total of 135 laps around the mile and a half track.
After the reconfiguration and repave of the track, AMS resembles one of the superspeedways and NASCAR has adopted the superspeedway rules for the track including the no go line – a red and white painted line – where drivers are not allowed to go and advance their position.
The drivers can run 55 to 60 laps on a single load of fuel. They will not be able to complete stage three without making at least one pit stop.
After winning the race at Las Vegas, Chandler Smith brings the field down for the green flag start of the race and edges out in front for the lead as the drivers spread out across the track.
Matt DiBenedetto brushes the wall on lap one but the track stays green.
Lap two, Stewart Friesen takes the lead with Grant Enfinger in second.
Matt DiBenedetto has a flat tire and has to bring his truck down pit road. DiBenedetto brushed the wall after pushing Stewart Friesen to the lead and then coming around on the outside lane. DiBenedetto has made his pit stop and is back on the track one lap down.
Lap five, Stewart Friesen leads the race with Grant Enfinger n second; Carson Hocevar, Derek Kraus, and Matt Crafton round out the top five.
Ross Chastain and John Hunter Nemechek have already entered the top 20 after starting the race from the back of the field.
Lap seven, Hailie Deegan saves her truck after getting loose and the track stays green. Deegan reports that she may have a tire rub. She brings her truck down pit road for service with a flat tire.
Lap nine, Stewart Friesen continues to lead the race with Grant Enfinger in second.
Lap 16, Stewart Friesen has led 15 laps so far; he led 20 all of last season.
Lap 17, the top five are Stewart Friesen, Grant Enfinger, Derek Kraus, Matt Crafton, and Ryan Preece. Ross Chastain – the Watermelon Man – is in 16th place; he has moved up 20 spots since the race start.
There are 34 trucks on the lead lap; Hailie Deegan is two laps down and Matt DiBenedetto is eleven laps down.
Lap 21, Stewart Friesen continues to lead the race with Grant Enfinger in second; Derek Kraus, Matt Crafton, and Ryan Preece round out the top five.
Lap 23, drivers are getting three wide as they battle for position.
Lap 27, Ross Chastain has his watermelon truck in the top 10.
Four laps remain in stage one with Stewart Friesen leading the way.

Hailie Deegan is out of the infield care center after receiving treatment for smoke inhilation.
Lap 46, Stewart Friesen has dominated the race so far.
Blaine Perkins smacks the wall but gets the truck down and on pit road; the track stays green.
Lap 48, the top five are Stewart Friesen, John Hunter Nemechek, Christian Eckes, Matt Crafton, and Ty Majeskit round out the top five.
The caution flag comes out with nine laps remaining in stage two for the incident involving Matt Mills. Debris was coming out from under the truck on to the track.
After Stewart Friesen makes a pit stop for fuel, John Hunter Nemechek brings the field down for the green flag restart with five laps remaining in stage two. Nemechek and Ty Majeski go side by side before Ty Majeski gets a push from Chandler Smith and takes the lead.
Chandler Smith comes from the inside lane to take the lead with three laps remaining in stage two.

The caution came out for debris on the track from Ross Chastain’s truck.

After staying out on the track, Stewart Friesen leads the race and brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three on lap 67. Stewart Friesen takes the lead after a push from Ben Rhodes, but Grant Enfinger comes charging through to take the lead.
Lap 68, the top five are Grant Enfinger, Stewart Friesen, Ben Rhodes, Corey Heim, and Carson Hocevar.
The caution flag comes out on lap 69 for a crash involving Dean Thompson, Ben Rhodes, Lawless Alan, and Colby Howard.
Matt Jaskol and Tanner Gray were caught speeding on pit road during the end of stage two pit stops. Ryan Preece was charged with an equipment violation.
Grant Enfinger brings the field down for the green flag restart from the outside lane on lap 76 with Ben Rhodes alongside. With a push from Stewart Friesen, Grant Enfinger takes the lead but Ben Rhodes comes from the inside to make it a battle for the lead.
Lap 78, the top five are Grant Enfinger, Stewart Friesen, Ben Rhodes, Corey Heim, and Carson Hocevar.
Tate Fogleman spins out and brings out the caution flag on lap 80. The drivers are now in their fuel window to make it to the end of the race on one more load of fuel.
Carson Hocevar has a flat tire and has to come down pit road.
Much of the field comes down pit road for fuel and fresh tires. Grant Enfinger ran over the air hose and had to back up in his pit stall.
Stewart Friesen narrowly avoided a crash on pit road when two trucks pulled out in front of him.
