After four days of competition at the Beijing Paralympic Games, five countries have now entered double digits in medal wins.
Leonie Maria Walter of Germany earned her first gold medal in the biathlon.
Currently Sweden leads the way in wheelchair curling with five wins and one loss. But the teams face a round robin of games on Wednesday.
The United States has already secured their place in the semi-finals after two decisive wins over Canada and South Korea. China, Italy, the Czech Republic, and South Korea have all advanced to the knock out rounds in a bid to see who will make it to the semi-finals this weekend. After beating South Korea, Canada has secured a spot in the semi-finals.
In the Middle Distance Vision Impaired and Standing biathlon events, the Ukraine dominated, sweeping the events.
The Ukrainian team has now earned a total of 17 medals winning gold in five out of six of their biathlon medals.
The Canadian wheelchair curling team has won a medal in every paralympics since the sport was introduced at Turin in 2006 with three of them gold. They are the most successful team in the sport.
Host country China continues to dominate the medal count lead with 27. Kazakhstan adds their name to the list of medal winners.
