The Academy of Country Music has named Country music legend Dolly Parton as the host for the 2022 CMA Awards.  The 13 time CMA winner noted, “we’re going to have some fun.”  The CMA will be naming some co-hosts to join Parton.

The 2022 CMA’s will be streaming live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas commercial free on Prime Video.

Six decades on, Parton is an author, songstress, numerous award winner and shows no signs of slowing down.  Not even a pandemic and a global lockdown can keep Dolly Parton down.  She has a new book – “Run, Rose, Run” – and album coming out just days before the CMA’s.  And she has earned herself a nomination into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

CEO of the Academy of Country Music Damon Whiteside spoke on Parton’s hosting the CMA’s saying, “there is no one better than Dolly to represent the ACM Awards brand and country music on a global scale as we move to streaming and show the world that ‘this is how we country’ by delivering one of the most exhilarating and innovative shows in our history to audiences worldwide.

The nominees for the awards will be revealed in the coming days.
