The Hollywood Foreign Press Association continues to see fall out from controversy over a lack of diversity in the Gold Globe Awards.
Last year the HFPA lost their long time network slot on NBC and with just three days until the presentation of the 2022 awards, still has not announced a venue for this year’s awards. However, the email revealed that “the event will have limited guests and with strict COVID protocols that include not only proof of full vaccination, but also a booster shot and a negative PCR test.”
After a lackluster reveal of the 2022 nominees, the HFPA has failed to sign on any celebrities to serve as presenters for their annual Golden Globe Awards.
In an email the HFPA sent out seeking presenters, the organization promised the 2022 awards would “celebrate and honor a variety of diverse, community-based programs that empower inclusive filmmakers and journalists to pursue their storytelling passions.”
