This week on “The Voice” the remaining eleven acts perform in the hopes of being one of the top 10.
This week is fan week and all of the songs performed tonight were chosen by the fans.
The night of music gets started off with Team Blake and Wendy Moten singing “Freeway of Love” by Aretha Franklin. Wendy also revealed that it is her birthday. Host Carson Daly said what a way to get it going. Ariana called Wendy her favourite singer. John noted that Wendy is a flawless vocalist; adding that she makes it look effortless. Blake noted that Wendy is stepping into iconic status with her performances.
Team Kelly’s Girl Named Tom sang “More Hearts than Mine” by Ingrid Andress. Carson said nice work yet again. Blake said that liked them doing Country; adding their harmonies are special. Kelly noted that it is fun to work with them; adding that they are so talented.
Team Ariana’s Holly Forbes took on Heart with “Alone”. Carson said that the power Holly has is unparalleled. John called Holly a gifted vocalist. Blake said that the performance was epic. Ariana said that Holly is consistently phenomenal.
Team Legend’s Jershika Maple sang “How Can I Ease the Pain”. In rehearsals John called her this season’s run queen. Kelly called Jershika’s vocal runs special. Blake said that Jershika made him really happy. John said that Jershika has mastered her craft and it is a joy to see.
Team Blake’s Lana Scott sang the Gabby Barrett song “I Hope”. Ariana said that she felt like she was at a Lana show; adding that she has never sounded better. Blake noted that every season they have the “breakout moment” discussion; and Lana just had hers.
Team Legend’s Joshua Vacanti took on Queen with “The Show Must Go On”. John noted that the song was made for Joshua. The house was on their feet at the end of the performance. Kelly said that Joshua is literally what the show is about; adding that he is such a gifted singer. She wanted someone to create a Broadway musical for him. Blake said that it was the perfect song choice and he slayed it. John called Joshua a super star; adding that he gave his best performance.
Team Kelly’s Jeremy Rosado performed “Reckless Love”. A worship leader, Jeremy said that he has performed the song many times. John said that Jeremy is always wonderful; adding it was the perfect song for him. Kelly said that Jeremy’s voice is flawless; adding that she is excited to see that he is doing what he wants to do.
Team Kelly’s Gymani was the instant save last week. This week takes on Rihanna with “Diamonds”. Ariana called the performance incredibly cool; adding that she made the song her own. Kelly said that she felt like she was at Gymani’s show; adding that it was a smart song choice.
Team Ariana’s Jim and Sasha Allen performed “Have You Ever Seen the Rain”. The duo said that it is a song they have wanted to do. Blake said that they sounded incredible; adding that the bond between them is incredible. Blake asked Jim if there is an instrument doesn’t play. Jim said that he doesn’t play the stock market. Ariana called them brilliant.
Team Blake’s Paris Winningham refers to his fans as family. The fans chose the Bill Withers song “Use Me” for Paris. Carson said that many would have paid to see that. John agreed that he would pay to see Paris; adding that it is so thrilling to see Paris perform. Blake said that Paris controls the room when he performs; adding that it was his favourtie performance.
Closing out the night of music is Team Kelly’s 14 year old Hailey Mia. The fans chose “Elastic Heart” by Sia for Hailey. Blake said that Hailey is so good at this. Kelly noted that Hailey is getting better each week.
