It was a wild weekend at Talladega Superspeedway that saw first time winners in all three races and plenty of crashed vehicles after numerous wrecks.

After a triple header weekend of racing NASCAR issued only one penalty and that was in the Xfinity Series. The Joe Gibbs Racing number 19 car driven by Brandon Jones was charged with having a single lug nut improperly secured. As a result, crew chief Jeff Meendering was fined $5,000.

After some pre-race inspection issues, the number eleven Kaulig Racing car driven by Justin Haley had to begin the race at the back of the field and serve a pass through penalty at race start. NASCAR has not levied any further penalties to the number eleven car.
