It has been nine days since the 2020 Tokyo Paralympians have gathered for the international competition.
When the athletes walked into the National Stadium for the parade of nations, 162 flags were revealed. With a total of 83 nations winning medals over half of those nations have now earned a medal.
Thrughout The Games, the People’s Republic of China has dominated in the medal count and continues to do so with a total of 77 gold medals and 167 medals overall – winning 20 medals in one day.
The United States in fifth place for the overall medal count with 80. The U.S. holds on to fourth place in the gold medal count with 27.
