After three full days of competition, more countries are added to the list of medal winners including a gold medal of the Philippines in weightlifting – their first ever gold in Olympic history – for a total of 47 countries.

Host country Japan takes over the top spot in the gold medal count with eight, but China still holds on to the overall total with 18.  The United States ranks second in gold medals with seven and the overall count with 15.
