Kyle Larson became the first driver in the 2021 NASCAR season to win four races this season after his third win in a row in the Ally 400 in a NASCAR Cup Series return to Nashville Superspeedway on June 20.

Larson’s win puts him in second place in the points standings behind Denny Hamlin who has led the points standings all season despite not having won a race so far this season.

At one point in the season, Hamlin had a lead of over 100 points on the second place driver; that lead is now down to just 10 points with 686 points – Larson has 676 points.

Despite his disqualification at Nashville, Chase Elliott holds down the fourth place spot in the standings.

After winning the Daytona 500, Michael McDowell is listed in 16th place, the last spot to move on to the playoffs. Kurt Busch is in 17th place eight points behind McDowell.

With eleven different race winners this season, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Austin Dillon,Tyler Reddick, and Chris Buescher are the only drivers in the top 16 that have yet to win a race.

In the manufacuters race, Chevrolet holds on to the lead with eight wins and 627 points; Ford comes in second with four wins and 589 points and Toyota is in third with five wins and 575 points.
