For the first time this season, the Xfinity Series races in a stand alone event when they travel to Mid-Ohio for some road racing at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and the B&L Transport 170.

With the Cup Series out in Califonia, there will be no Cup drivers helping out with the broadcast today; Jamie McMurray and Michael Waltrip join Adam Alexander in the broadcast booth today.

All three stages of the race are 25 laps each for a total of 75 laps around the course.

There is no competition caution for this race.

Kris Wright and Ryan Ellis have to start the race from the back of the field after their crews made unappoved adjustments to the cars.

Since this is a stand alone race and many of the teams do not have their usual pit crews, teams may either change tires or fuel the car on a single pit stop. The crews have a total of 70 seconds for the pit stop – pit in and out plus the pit stop – to retain their spot on the track.

Austin Cindric brings the field down for the green flag start of the race and takes the lead.

Noah Gragson has already encountered trouble and has a damaged car after a run in the dirt.. The caution flag comes out on lap one. Cody Ware got turned around after running through fluid dropped by Noah Gragson’s car.Gragson is out of the race.

The top five are Austin Cindric, Ty Gibbs, Harrison Burton Jeb Burton, and Justin Allgaier.

Austin Cindric brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap five and holds on to the lead with Ty Gibbs in second.

Lap six, Austin Cindric leads the race with a half seoncd lead on Ty Gibbs; Harrison Burton, Jeb Burton, and Justin Allgaier round out the top five.

Lap seven, the field is separated by nearly 27 seconds from leader Austin Cindric to Jess Little in 39th.

Lap eight, Austin Cindric has increased his lead to over a second on Ty Gibbs.

Justin Allgaier and Justin Haley are in a battle for fifth when AJ Allmendinger comes up and takes the spot from them both.

Tommy Joe Martins brings out the caution flag on lap eight with a possible blown engine.

Andy Lally reports having some radio issues in his car; saying that he cannot hear the team.

Austin Cindric brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 13 and edges out 18 year old Ty Gibbs for the lead. Ty Gibbs passes Austin Cindric for the lead, but the battle continues as the drivers swap the lead back and forth before Cindric takes the lead and pulls away.

Lap 13, the top five are Austin Cindric, Ty Gibbs, AJ Allmendinger, Harrison Burton, and Justin Haley.

Lap 14 AJ Allmendinger passes Ty Gibbs for second after starting the race in 12th plce.

Lap 15, AJ Allmendinger battles Austin Cindric for the lead and takes the spot.

Lap 16, the top five are AJ Allmendinger, Austin Cindric, Ty Gibbs, Harrison Burton, and Justin Haley.

Jeffrey Earnhardt and Bayley Currey are off the track with Tommy Joe Martins and Noah Gragson out of the race.

Lap 17, AJ Allmendinger has pulled out to a second and a half lead on Austin Cindric; Ty Gibbs is in third two and a haf seconds back.

Harrison Burton gets off the track but recovers and the track stays green. Justin Haley takes fourth place. Burton makes his way to pit road with his damaged car. The crew has six minutes to make sufficient repairs to run at minimum speed or the driver is out of the race.

Lap 20, AJ Allmendinger has a lead of over two seconds ahead of Austin Cindric; Ty Gibbs, Justin Haley, and Daniel Hemric round out the top five.

After starting in 27th place, Andy Lally is just outside of the top 10 in eleventh.

Short pitting shy of the end of the stage, Ty Gibbs comes down pit road for fuel. Daniel Hemric also makes a pit stop; as well as, several other drivers. Drivers cannot change tires under green flag conditions, only fuel the car.

With two laps remaining in stage one, AJ Allmendinger has a three second lead on Austin Cindric; Justin Haley, Jeb Burton, and Justin Allgaier round out the top five.

Harrison Burton is out of the race.

Jeffrey Earnhardt is back on the track 10 laps down.

Lap 25, Miguel Paludo gets into the gravel and manages to drive it back on the track.

AJ Allmendinger wins stage one for his third stage win of the season.

Drivers come down pit road for service. Many teams are changing tires first and will make a second trip down pit road for fuel.

Brandon Brown was caught speeding on pit road and will have to restart the race from the back of the field. Jeremy Clements’ team exceeded their time limit and has lot his starting spot on the track.

Ty Gibbs brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two on lap 31 and edges out Daniel Hemric for the lead.

The top five are Ty Gibbs, Daniel Hemric, Myatt Snider, Andy Lally, and AJ Allmendinger.

Justin Allgaier brings his car down pit road and heads for the garage. The team has as much time as they need to make any mechanical repairs and let the driver return to the race.

Bayley Currey is back on the track 19 laps down.

Lap 33, Ty Gibbs has pulled out to a lead of over a second and a half on Daniel Hemric;Myatt Snider, AJ Allmendinger, and Austin Cindric round out the top five.

AJ Allmendinger passes Myatt Snider for third.

Reports are that there is a right seal issue on Justin Allgaier’s car.

Lap 34, Ty Gibbs has a lead of over two seconds on AJ Allmendinger; Daniel Hemric, Austin Cindric, and Myatt Snider round out the top five.

Lap 35, Josh Berry makes an off road excursion but gets the car moving and back on the track. The track stays green.

Lap 36, Ty Gibbs has increased his lead on AJ Allmendinger to over two and a half seconds; Austin Cindric, Daniel Hemric, and Justin Haley round out the top five.

Lap 39, Josh Berry is the last car on the lead lap in 32nd place. There are no drivers just one lap down.

AJ Allmendinger has inched closer to leader Ty Gibbs who is now just over two seconds out in fron of Allmendinger.

Lap 40, Ty Gibbs lead on AJ Allmendinger is now under two seconds; Austin Cindric is over six seconds back in third; Daniel Hemric and Justin Haely round out the top five.

Jeremy Clements is slowed on the track, he reports an electrical issue in the car.

Lap 41, Ty Gibbs lead is down to under a second and a half on AJ Allmendinger.

The caution flag comes out on lap 41 when Jeremy Clements is stopped on the track. Clements has his car pushed to pit road.

Austin Cindric is the only driver in the top five to make a trip down pit road..

Ty Gibbs brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 44 with AJ Allmendinger alongside. Gibbs gets out in front for the lead but Allmendinger comes up and passes to take the lead.

The top five are AJ Allmendinger, Ty Gibbs, Justin Haley, Daniel Hemric, and Brandon Jones.

This is only Ty Gibbs seventh race start in the Xfinity Seires.

Lap 45, Justin Haley takes second from Ty Gibbs.

Kris Wright does a little off road racing but gets back on the track.

Lap 46, AJ Allmendinger has a lead of over a second on Justin Haley; Ty Gibbs, Brandon Jones, and Jeb Burton round out the top five.

Daniel Hemric has a flat tire and has to make a trip down pit road. While working his way to pit road, the tire is spraying debris on the track as it tears up the car. He makes it to pit road and the track stays green.

Lap 47, AJ Allmendinger has a lead of nearly two seconds on Justin Haley. Leader AJ Allmendinger; along with other drivers, come down pit road for fuel before the end of the stage.. Justin Haley is the lead by nearly two seconds on Brandon Jones.

Teams that pit under the green flag have to have a stop of at least 50 seconds.

AJ Allmendinger failed to stay on pit road for the minimum 50 seconds and will have to start stage three from th back of the field. He missed the limit by three seconds.

After staying out on the track, Ryan Sieg brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three on lap 55 but it is Austin Cindric who takes the lead.

The top five are Austin Cindric, Michael Annett, Ryan Sieg, Myatt Snider, and Landon Cassill. After the pit road penalty, AJ Allmendinger in in 24th place.

Lap 56, AJ Allmendinger enters the top 20.

Lap 57, Austin Cindric has pulled out to a three and a half second lead on Michael Annett. AJ Allmendinger is in 18th place, just under 10 seconds back.

Lap 58, AJ Allmendinger is now in 7th place. Austin Cindric has pulled out to a four second lead on Michael Annett.

Lap 60, Austin Cindric now has a lead of over six seconds on Michael Annett; Ryan Sieg, Ty Gibbs, and Myatt Snider round out the top five. AJ Allmendinger is up to 12th place.

Preston Pardus gets off the track but gets moving again and the track stays green.

Finally out in front, Austin Cindric is running away from the field; he has over a seven second lead on second place drivers Michael Annett.

Lap 61, AJ Allmendinger is in the top 10 in seventh place.

Lap 62, Austin Cindric has increased his lead to nearly nine seconds on the field; AJ Allmendinger is in sixth place over 17 seconds back.

With 12 laps remaining in the race, Austin Cindric has a lead of nearly 10 seconds; Michael Annett, Ty Gibbs, Brett Moffitt, and Jusitn Haley round out the top five. AJ Allmendinger has just passes Justin Haley for fifth place.

Lap 65, 10 to go, Austin Cindric has a lead of nearly eleven seconds on Ty Gibbs; Michael Annett, Brett Moffitt, and AJ Allmendinger round out the top five.

Lap 66, Austin Cindric holds a lead of nearly eleven seconds on Ty Gibbs; AJ Allmendinger has moved up to third – 13 seconds back – with Brett Moffitt and Michael Annett rounding out the top five.

Jeb Burton gets stuck in the gravel and brings out the caution flag with seven laps remaining in the race.

Andy Lally is reporting some brake issues.

Pit road is open and a few drivers come down pit road, but the top 10 stay out on the track.

With just four laps remaining in the race, Austin Cindric brings the field down for the green flag restart with Ty Gibbs alongside. AJ Allmendinger makes it a three wide battle and takes the lead. Austin Cindric gets off the track after some on track contact but gets moving again and drops to 20th place.

The caution flag comes out with three laps to go when Kris Wright gets off the track with damage after some on track contact. Justin Haley, Ty Gibbs, Michael Annett, and Brandon Jones were also involved.


Justin Haley has a left front tire rub and is smoking.

The race goes into overtime.

Austin Cindric comes down pit road so the team can assess some damage after his on track contact and a set of fresh tires.

On the front row with AJ Allmendinger, Brett Moffitt stops on the track and extends the caution. Moffitt reports, “it just won’t go”. He gets a push and makes it to pit road.

AJ Allmendinger brings the field down for the overtime shootout for the finish with Ty Gibbs alongside. AJ Allmendinger gets out in front for the lead.

The top five are AJ Allmendinger, Justin Haley, Thy Gibbs, Andy Lally, and Riley Herbst.

AJ Allmendinger takes the white flag.

Miguel Paludo and Riley Herbst make a run through the gravel; the track stays green.

After having to restart the race from the back of the field with 20 laps remaining in the race, AJ Allmendinger wins his second race of the season.
