Cashing in on the success of the FOX television series “The Masked Singer”, Michael Hull and Dylan Bustamante of the Broadway Talk Live Network have created the “Broadway Masked Singer” as a fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Premiering April 26, eight Broadway professionals will compete attired in full body costumes.  Each character will perform before a panel of judges who will attempt to guess who is “under the mask”.

To date Broadway Talk Live has revealed clue packages from “The Bee and The Flamingo.

Fans will have to tune in on April 26 on  BC/EFA’s YouTube at 8pm EDT to find out who else will be performing.  The April 26 and 28 episodes will feature four each of the characters with the final four performing on April 30.

While fans will determine who stays and who goes home via their donation votes; a panel of theatre industry veterans Natalie Weiss, Ben Cameron, Jackie Cox, Hayley Podschun, Marty Thomas, Marissa Rosen, Nick Cearley, Abby DePhillips, Patrick Goodwin, Felicia Fitzpatrick, Christopher Metzger-Timson, Kevin Metzger-Timson, and Drew Wutke will try to help in determining who is behind the mask of the costumes.

The first two episodes will feature four of the performers with the lowest vote getter being unmasked.  The remaining three performers will perform a second time for votes with the character receiving the lowest votes unmasked at the beginning of the next episode.  The final episode will feature the final four characters to determine the winner.
