In race two of the Saturday doubleheader at Atlanta Motor Speedway, the Xfinity Series takes to the track for the EchoPark 250.

After running 200 miles in the Camping World Truck Series, Brett Moffitt and Josh Berry will jump into an Xfinity car and race 250 more miles around the mile and a half track.

And for the first time since 2010, Martin Truex Jr jumps into an Xfinity Series car for a doubleheader weekend of racing.

The 2020 Xfinity Series champion and two time race winner this season Austin Cindric sits on the pole and will bring the field to green.

After some issues with the pre-race inspection process process, AJ Allmendinger will have to start the race from the back of the field.

Doing double duty in the broadcast booth, Ryan Blaney and FOX Sports regular Adam Alexander is joined by Cup Series driver Tyler Reddick, who is making his broadcast booth debut, for today’s race. FOX pit road reporters Jamie Little and Regan Smith are also pulling double duty today.

Stages one and two of the race are 40 laps each with stage three lasting 83 laps for a total of 163 laps around the mile and a half track.

NASCAR has called for a competition caution on lap 20.

Austin Cindric brings the field down for the green flag start of the race from the inside lane and gets out in front for the lead as Truck Series winner Kyle Busch flies off to Bristol for some dirt track racing.

Lap two, Austin Cindric has already pulled out to a lead of over half a second on Harrison Burton; Brandon Brown, Brett Moffitt, and Jeb Burton round out the top five.

Lap three, Austin Cindric has pulled out to a lead of over a second on Harrison Burton.

Lap four, AJ Allmendinger is already in 28th place and Martin Truex Jr has moved into the top five. Noah Gragson is also on the move and has advanced 19 spots.

Lap six Austin Cindric holds on to the lead with Harrison with Martin Treux Jr in second looking for the lead.

Lap seven, Martin Truex Jr passes Austin Cindric on the outside to take the lead.

Lap nine, the top five are Martin Truex Jr, Harrison Burton, Brett Moffitt, Austin Cindric, and Brandon Brown.

Lap eleven, Martin Truex Jr has increased his lead to over a second on Harrison Burton. AJ Allmendinger has entered the top 20 in 18th place.

Lap 17 Martin Truex Jr has a lead of nearly two seconds on Harrison Burton; Brett Moffitt, Justin Haley, and Austin Cindric round out the top five. Austin Cindric is reporting some tire issues.

Lap 21, NASCAR displays the yellow flag for the competition caution.

With a limited set of tires, the leaders stayed out on the track but some of the drivers back in the field came down pit road for service. Teams have four sets of tires in the pits for today’s race.

Martin Truex Jr brings the field down for the green flag restart from the inside lane on lap 24 and jumps out in front for the lead.

Drivers are getting three wide across the track as they battle for position.

Lap 25, Martin Truex Jr has a half second lead on Harrison Burton; Brett Moffitt, Justin Haley, and Austin Cindric round out the top five.

Lap 27, there are 36 cars on the lead lap.

AJ Allmendinger has entered the top 10 in tenth place.

Drivers are already beating and banging on each other in a fight for track positon.

Lap 30, Martin Truex Jr has a lead of nearly a second on Harrison Burton; Brett Moffitt, Justin Haley, and Justin Allgaier round out the top five.

The caution flag comes out on lap 35 after Dexter Bean spins out and gets slideways; just five laps before the end of the stage.

Only a few drivers takes advantage of the the caution before the end of stage one.

Martin Truex Jr brings the field down for the green flag restart in a one lap shootout to end stage one. Truex jumps out in front for the lead with Harrison Burton in second. Brandon Jones spins out and takes up some other drivers in the process including Noah Gragson, Brett Moffitt, AJ Allmendinger, Austin Cindric, Timmy Hill, and David Starr.

Drivers in the wreck are all on the “damaged vehicle clock” and have six minutes to make repairs and get the car to at least minimum speed; otherwise they will be out of the race.

Lap 46, pit road finally opens and drivers bring their cars down pit road for service Martin Truex Jr winning the race off of pit road with team mate Harrison Burton coming out second.

There is a gas can sitting in the middle of pit road. A penalty will be forthcoming for leaving a pit box with equipment.

Jeremy Clements was the driver who left his pit stall with the gas can and will have to restart the race from the back of the field.

Josh Berry was penalized for unlawful fueling of his car and will have to restart the race from the back of the field.

Brandon Jones was penalized two laps for having too many crew members over the wall while repairing his car.

Brandon Brown brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two on lap 51 and gets out in front for the lead with drivers three wide.

Coming form fourth place, Martin Truex Jr quickly gets out in front to take the lead.

Lap 52, the top five are Martin Truex Jr, Myatt Snider, Brandon Brown, Harrison Burton, and Ryan Sieg.

Lap 53, Martin Truex Jr has a half second lead on Myatt Snider with Brandon Brown in third over a second back; Harrison Burton and Ryan Sieg round out the top five.

Brett Moffitt is out of the race with crash damage.

Lap 59, Martin Truex Jr has pulled out to a lead of over a second on Myatt Snider; Justin Haley, Harrison Burton, and Justin Allgaier round out the top five.

Lap 66, Martin Truex Jr has increased his lead to over a second and a half on Justin Haley.

Ten laps remain in stage two, Martin Truex Jr has pulled out to a lead of over two seconds on Justin Allgaier; Justin Haley, Myatt Snider, and Harrison Burton round out the top five.

Lap 71, Martin Truex Jr has increased his lead to three seconds on Justin Allgaier.

There has been a lot of beating and banging among the drivers in the race.

Lap 73, Martin Truex Jr’s lead is now over three seconds back.

In only two laps, Martin Truex Jr has pulled out to a one second lead on Justin Allgaier; Justin Haley, Harrison Burton, and Jeremy Clements round out the top five.

Lap 92, there are 24 cars on the lead lap with two cars out of the race. Brandon Jones is 27 laps down after the wreck at the end of stage one.

Lap 94, Justin Allgaier has closed the gap on leader Martin Truex Jr to just over half a second.

The drivers will have to make one more stop to make it to the end of the race.

Lap 100, Martin Truex Jr has a one second lead on Justin Allgaier; Harrison Burton, Justin Haley, and Jeremy Clements round out the top five. There are 24 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 105, sixth place driver Jeb Burton has finished all of the races in the top 10 this season.

Lap 106, Martin Truex Jr has a second and a half lead on Justin Allgaier; Harrison Burton, Justin Haley, and Jeremy Clements round out the top five.

Lap 109, Martin Truex Jr has led 100 laps of the race so far.

Lap 111, Martin Truex Jr continues to increase his lead on Justin Allgaier and is now two seconds out in front.

The caution flag comes out on lap 112 when Mason Massey spun out and got slideways.

Fifty laps remain in the race, drivers are in the window to finish the race after making a pit stop. Drivers come down pit road for service with Martin Truex Jr winning the race off of pit road and Justin Allgaier coming out second.

Daniel Hemric had issues on pit road and getting into his pit stall.

Jeb Burton and Jeremy Clements make contact in a three wide battle and brings out the caution flag.

No one comes down pit road after just having been on pit road.

Jeb Burton is stopped on the track. There was no issue, he was out of place and had to wait to get back in the field.

Justin Allgaier brings the field down for the green flag restart with 40 laps remaining in the race. Allgaier jumps out in front for the lead with Harrison Burton ins second; Justin Haley, Santino Ferrucci, and Riley Herbst round out the top five. Herbst and Ferrucci battle back and forth the position.

With 37 laps to go, Justin Allgaier has a lead of over half a secon on Harrison Burton. Martin Truex Jr is battleing Noah Gragson for fifth place. Truex was in 22nd place when the race restared.

With 33 laps to go, Justin Allgaier has pulled out to a lead of over two second on Harrison Burton.

Josh Berry brings out the caution flag after spinning out. He saves the car only to hit the grass, bounce on his rear tires, and destroy his splitter.

Drivers come down pit road for that one last set of tires. After taking fuel only, Cody Ware wins the race off of pit road with Justin Allgaier coming out second.

After staying out on the track, Coldy Howard brings the field down for the green flag restart with just 26 laps remaining in the race as the sun begins to set. Drivers get three wide on the restart but Justin Allgaier gets out in front for the lead.

The top five are Justin Allgaier, Justin Haley, Harrison Burton, Noah Gragson, and Martin Truex Jr.

Noah Gragson and Martin Truex Jr continue their battle for fourth.

Lap 140, Justin Allgaier has a near half second lead on Harrisn Burton; Noah Gragson, Martin Truex Jr, and Justin Haley round out the top five with 25 cars on the lead lap.

Josh Berry is out of the race after his wreck.

Once a lap down, AJ Allmendinger is not only back on the lead lap, but is in the top five.

The glare of the setting sun is beginning to affect the drivers’ ability to see.

Thirteen to go, Martin Truex Jr gets around Harrison Burton for second but Burton returns the favour as the two continue to battle for the position. Leader Justin Allgaier edges further out in front as the battle for secnd contiues.

Ten to go, Justin Allgaier has a lead of half a second on Martin Truex Jr; Harribon Burton, Noah Gragson, and AJ Allmendinger round out the top five.

Seven to go, Martin Truex Jr has closed the gap on leader Justin Allgaier to under half a second. Harrison Burton and Noah Gragson battle for third. There are 24 cars on the lead lap.

Five to go; Justin Allgaier once again has a half second lead on Martin Truex Jr.

Three to go, Justin Allgaier has a lead of over half a second on Martin Truex Jr.

With a lead of nearly a second, Justin Allgaier takes the white flag.

After a rough start to the 2021 season, Justin Allgaier wins the race for his first race win of 2021. Allgaier performs an impressive burnout in celebration of his win.
