Two multi car crashes during the Bluegreen Vacations Duel race number two on Thursday night forced several teams to go to a backup car for the 500 on Sunday.

NASCAR announced on Saturday that two more teams would be moving to the back of the field due to penalties for rule book violations.

The Joe Gibbs Racing number 19 car driven by Martin Truex Jr made a changes to the radiator and oil cooler and must move to the rear of the field to start the race.

The Richard Petty Motorsports number 43 car driven by Erik Jones received a more severed penalty than just starting at the back of the field. Their engine change will put them at the rear of the field for the Daytona 500 and the road course race next weekend.

The NASCAR rule book states that a team must use the same engine for a single weekend or face a penalty that puts them at the back of the field for the current race and the next race.

Brad Keselowski, Kaz Grala, William Byron, Anthony Alfredo, Cole Custer, and Ross Chastain will all start the 500 at the back of the field in backup cars.
