The NASCAR racing season kicks off with the Daytona 500 on February 14; but before that the IMSA IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship gets the racing season started at the Daytona International Speedway with the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona on January 30 and 31.

As in years past, the 24 hour endurance race will include some drivers from the NASCAR racing series.

This year reigning NASCAR Cup champion Chase Elliott, seven time champion Jimmie Johnson, previous Daytona 500 winner Austin Dillon, and AJ Allmendinger will all be participating as team members and driving on the road course at Daytona.

The 50 car field will feature cars in a number of different classes including the GT and prototype classes.

Winners of the annual endurance race receive a Rolex watch.

In the past Casey Mears, Juan Pablo Montoya, AJ Allmendinger, Kyle Larson, Jamie McMurray, and Jeff Gordon have all been a part of Rolex 24 winning teams.

Dale Earnhardt Sr, Dale Earnhardt Jr, and Tony Stewart have also driven in the 24 Hour race.
