The Xfinity Series closes out the second round of the playoffs at Martinsville Speedway with the Draft Top 250. By the end of the race the final four that will race for the championship will be set as the 2020 racing season nears an end.

Austin Cindric sits on the pole and will bring the field to the green flag with Noah Gragson alongside on the front row.

Chase Briscoe has secured his spot in the final four after a win; Austin Cindric, Justin Allgaier, and Justin Haley are all above the cut line; but Brtandon Jones, Ross Chastain, Noah Gragson, and Ryan Sieg are below the cut line and in a must win situation to avoid elimination for the final four.

This marks the first time that the Xfinity Series has run in Martinsville since 2006. Winner at Martinsville receive a very unifque trophy – a grandfather clock!

Stages one and two of the race are 60 laps each with stage three lasting 130 laps for a total of 250 laps around the half mile track.

The track known as the paperclip is small and leaders will be lapping slower traffic very quickly.

NASCAR has called for a competiton caution around lap 25.

Lap two Austin Cindric leads the race with Noah Gragson in second; Ross Chastain, Justin Haley, and Justin Allgaier round out the top five.

Gray Gaulding brings out the first caution flag of the race on lap four when he gets stopped on the track. Gaulding reports that he can’t get the engine cranked.

Gray Gaulding has gotten the car moving again and will restart from the back of the field.

Lap 13, Austin Cindric has a lead of half a second on Justin Haley with Noah Gragson a second back in third.

Lap 16 there are 37 cars on the lead lap.

Brett Moffitt is reporting some brake handling and wheel hop issues.

Lap 20, Austin Cindric has a lead of over half a second on Justin Haley; Noah Gragson, Justin Allgaier, and Harrison Burton round out the top five.

Bayley Currey hits the wall but the track stays green. Currey brings his car down pit road with a flat tire.

NASCAR displays the caution flag at the end of lap 25 for the competition caution.

Since returning to racing after the Covid-19 shutdown, NASCAR has run races with no practice or qualifying runs. They have called for a competition caution early in the races to allow teams to check tire wear and make adjustments that would normally have been done during a practice session.

A few drivers back in the field made a pit stop for fresh tires.

Ryan Sieg was caught speeding on pit road.

Lap 33, Austin Cindric is in the lead with Noah Gragson in second and Justin Haley in third being challenged for position by Harrison Burton.

Lap 35, Harrison Burton takes third place with Austin Cindric leading the race.

Gray Gaulding again brings out the caution flag on lap 37 when he spins out in a three wide situation.

Chase Briscoe reports to his team that the brakes are smelling. The crew chief remarks that the entire track has a brake smell.

Ryan Vargas is stopped on the track but gets his car moving again as the field prepares to come to the green.

Austin Cindric brings the field down for the green flag restart from the inside lane with Noah Gragson on the outside on lap 43, the drivers go nose to nose with Noah Gragson finally getting the lead on lap 45.

Noah Gragson leads the race with Harrison Burton in second and Austin Cindric in third.

Now leading the race, Noah Gragson is above the cut line and a part of the final four.

Jeb Burton taps the wall after getting loose but the track stays green.

Harrison Burton challenges Noah Gragson for the lead. The same two drivers battled on the final lap for the win in Texas last week with Burton getting the win.

Lap 51, Noah Gragson leads with Harrison Burton in second; Austin Cindric, Justin Haley, and Justin Allgaier round out the top five. There are 34 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 54, Harrison Burton continues to challenge leader Noah Gragson with third place driver Austin Cindric looking to make it a three way battle.

Lap 58, leaders have encountered slower traffic.

Noah Gragson wins stage one for his ninth stage win of the season.

After staying out on the track JJ Yeley is the leader with Ryan Sieg in second.

JJ Yeley brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two on lap 69 with Yeley taking the lead and Harrison Burton in second.

Lap 70 Harrison Burton battle JJ Yeley for the lead with Burton taking the spot.

Lap 71 Harrison Burton leads the race with Noah Gragson in second; JJ Yeley, Austin Cindric, and Justin Haley round out the top five.

The caution flag coumes out on lap 73 when BJ McLeod, Donald Theage, and Stefan Parsons get into a wreck that spread dirt and mud on the track.

Lap 77, NASCAR has red flagged the race to get the track cleaned up form all the dirt and mud.

After a 10 minute red flag delay, NASCAR has put out the yellow flag and the cars are moving again.

Last week’s race winner Harrison Burton leads the race and brings the field down for the green flag restart from the inside lane on lap 81 and battles Noah Grags for the lead. Noah Gragson edges out for the lead from the outside lane.

Lap 83, Harrison Burton continues to battle Noah Gragson for the lead and gets out in front on lap 84.

Ross Chastain and Ausitn Cindric battle for third.

Lap 85, Harrison Burton leads the race with Noah Gragson in second; Ross Chastain, Justin Haley, and Justin Allgaier round out the top five.

Lap 89, Harrison Burton leads the race with Ross Chastain on his bumper; Noah Gragson, Justin Haley, and Justin Allgaier round out the top five.

There are 30 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 92, Ross Chastain battles Harrison Burton for the lead with Chastain taking the top spot. The lead puts Chastain above the cut line. An in-car camera on Chastain’s pedals shows the 12th generation watermelon farmer wearing shoes that resemble watermelons.

Lap 102, Ross Chastain continues to lead the race with Harrison Burton in second; Noah Gragson, Justin, Haley, and Justin Allgaier round out the top five.

The caution flag comes out on lap 106 when Matt Mills car has flames coming out from under the car. Mills gets the car stopped and is out of the car safely.

Mills car is stopped near pit entry; pit road continues to stay closed. Any driver who makes a pit stop will have to serve a penalty.

Justin Haley reports that the gages are good but the car doesn’t sound right.

With only 10 laps remaining in stage two, pit road is open. Some of the non playoff drivers make a pit stop. Guaranteed a spot in the final four, Chase Briscoe also comes down pit road for service.

With a fuel load of around 150 laps, the drivers can complete the race from this point on a single load of fuel.

As they stand now…Chase Briscoe, Austin Cindric, Justin Allgiaer, and Justin Haley are above the cut line and would be the final four; while Ross Chastain, Brandon Jones, Noah Gragson, and Ryan Sieg are below the cut line and facing elimination.

Lap 147, AJ Allmendinger has a second and a half lead on Harrison Burton; Jeb Burton, Ryan Sieg, and Myatt Snider round out the top five.

Lap 150, AJ Allmendinger continues to lead the race by over a second on Harrison Burton.

Lap 158, AJ Allmendinger continues to lead the race with Harrison Burton, Jeb Burton, Ryan Sieg, and Myatt Snider rounding out the top five.

With 23 cars still on the lead lap, AJ Allmendinger has a one second lead on Harrison Burton; Jeb Burton, Ryan Sieg, and Myatt Snider round out the top five.

Justin Haley reports continued water temperature issues; saying that it is steady but pegged at the limit.

With just 80 laps to go, AJ Allmendinger has just a half second lead on Harrison Burton with Jeb Burton in three.

Drivers are beginning to get aggressive on the track; beating and banging for position.

With 76 laps to go, there are 20 cars on the lead lap. Harrison Burton has caught up to leader AJ Allmendinger and is challenging for the lead.

The ninth caution flag of the race comeso ut with 68 laps to go after Bayley Currey gets into the wall. Team reports that the car is killed and Currey takes his car to the garage.

After 44 laps of green flag racing, leaders come down pit road for service. Harrison Burton wins the race off of pit road.

Harrison Burton brings the field down for the green flag restart from the inside lane with just 61 laps remaining in the race and battle AJ Allmendinger for the lead. After getting door to door with each other, AJ Allmendinger gets out in front for the lead with 57 laps to go.

The top five are AJ Allmendinger, Harrison Burton, Justin Allgaier, Jeb Burton, and Noah Gragson.

With 53 laps to go, Harrison Burton passes AJ Allmendinger for the lead. Allmendinger has a flat tire and has to bring his car down pit road for an unscheduled pit stop.

Ross Chastain passes Riley Herbst for fifth place.

Lap 205 Harrison Burton has a half second lead on Justin Allgaier as the leaders encounter lapped traffic.

Lap 210, Harrison Burton leads the race with Justin Allgaier in second; over three seconds back Noah Gragson, Jeb Burton, and Ross Chastain round out the top five.

The caution flag comes out with 37 laps to go for a crash involving Myatt Snider and Brandon Brown.

A few drivers back in the field come down pit road for service; but the leaders stay out on the track.

Harrison Burton brings the field down for the green flag restart from the inside lane with just 30 laps remaining in the race. Harrison Burton and Just Allgaier go side by side until Burton gets out in front for the lead with Allgaier on his bumper; Noah Gragson is in third on Allgaier’s bumper.

Ten to go, Harrison Burton has a lead of over half a second on Justin Allgaier; Noah Gragson, Ross Chastain, and Jeb Burton round out the top five.

Seven to go, Harrison Burton has pulled out to a lead of over a second on Justin Allgaier; with Noah Gragson, Ross Chastain, and Jeb Burton rounding out the top five.

Four to go, Justin Allgaier has closed the gap to under a second on leader Harrison Burton after Burton encountered lapped traffic.

Harrison Burton takes the white flag.

For the second week in a row, Harrison Burton wins the race. At 20 years old he becomes the youngest driver to win at Martinsville; eclipsing his father. Father and son talk over the radio after the race. Dad Jeff Burton is one of the NBC Sports broadcasters. Harrison noted that he is doing something his dad didn’t do in his first Martinsville win – a burnout.

The final four is set with Chase Briscoe, Justin Allagiaer, Justin Haley, and Austin Cindric.
