With just three races remaining in the 2020 NASCAR season, the Xfinity Series kicks off a triple header weekend at Texas Motor Speedway with the O’Reilley Auto Parts 300.

After his record setting win at Kansas last weekend, Chase Briscoe sits on the pole and will bring the field to green with Justin Haley alongside on the front row.

Stages one and two of the race are 45 laps each with stage three lasting 110 laps for a total of 200 laps around the mile and a half track.

The first eight drivers in the lineup are the eight playoff drivers.

Chase Briscoe brings the field down for the green flag start of the race on a cool cloudy afternoon and jumps out in front for the lead from the inside lane.

The drivers quickly get two and three wide across the track as they battle for position.

Lap two Chase Briscoe has a near half second lead on Brandon Jones with Justin Haley in third.

Lap four, Chase Briscoe has increased his lead on Brandon Jones to over half a second with Justin Haley, Justin Allgaier, and Austin Cindric rounding out the top five.

Lap six, Austin Cindric gets free and drops a few spots; Noah Gragson is in the fifth position.

Lap seven, Chase Briscoe now has a lead of a second on Brandon Jones with Justin Haley in third; Justin Allgaier and Noah Gragson round out the top five.

Lap nine, Timmy Hill is the only car one lap down.?

Lap 10, Brandon Jones has closed the gap on leader Chase Briscoe to under a second.

Lap eleven, Jeb Burton brings out the first caution flag of the race when he spins out in a single car incident. Burton runs sideways down the track spewing a big cloud of smoke.

Chase Briscoe brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 15 and holds on to his lead from the outside lane. Brandon Jones holds on to second with Justin Allgaier moving into third.

As with all races since coming back from the lockdown, NASCAR has called for a competition caution around lap 20 for teams to check tires and make adjustments. Since coming back, the teams have had no practice on the tracks.

Lap 18, Chase Briscoe has a quarter of a second lead on Brandon Jones with Justin Allgaier one second back in third. There are 334 cars on the lead lap with Timmy Hill off the track.

NASCAR displays the yellow flag for the competition caution at the end of lap 20. Jeb Burton is the “lucky dog”.

Some of the drivers come down pit road for service and adjustments. The teams have only four sets of tires for today’s race. Austin Cindric’s team is making some major adjustments after the driver reports a major loose condition.

Chase Briscoe brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 25 and goes side by side with Justin Allgaier for the lead. Brandon Jones makes it a three wide battle with Chase Briscoe taking the lead. He has led every lap so far in today’s race.

Of the 36 cars that started the race, Timmy Hill is the only driver off the track and not on the lead lap.

Lap 30, Chase Briscoe has a narrow lead on Brandon Jones with Ross Chastain in third; Noah Gragson and Harrison Burton round out the top five.

Since battling for the lead on the restart, Justin Allgaier has fallen to sixth place.

Lap 33, Brandon Jones challenges Chase Briscoe for the lead with Jones taking the spot briefly before Briscoe retakes the lead form the outside lane.

Lap 35, Chase Briscoe gets loose and gives the lead over the Brandon Jones. Briscoe has to bring his car down pit road for an unscheduled pit stop with a flat tire. Briscoe has reported brake issues and a vibration since the race began.

Lap 38, Brandon Jones is in the lead with Ross Chastain nearly a second and a half back; Harrison Burton, Noah Gragson and Justin Allgaier round out the top five.

Chase Briscoe reports something has broken on the car.

The caution flag comes out on lap 40 when David Starr drops fluid on the track and brings his smoking car down pit road.

Chase Briscoe reports black smoke in his cockpit; adding that it feels like something has broken in the rear of the car.

Many of the non playoff drivers come down pit road for fresh tires.

Chase Briscoe’s team reports that there is a broken shock on the right rear.

Brandon Jones brings the field down for the green flag restart for a one lap shootout to end stage one. Jones jumps out in front for the lead.

Harrison Burton and Noah Gragson brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two on lap 52 with Harrison Burton taking the lead but Noah Gragson makes it a battle for the top spot with Noah Gragson edging out to take the lead. Lap 54 Burton and Gragson continue to battle for the lead with Gragson finally taking the spot.

Lap 55, Ryan Sieg takes his gar to the garage with a number of issues.

Lap 56, Noah Gragson has a third of a second lead on Harrison Burton with Anthon Alfredo in third. There are 31 cars on the lead lap.

Austin Hill brings his car down pit for an unscheduled pit stop with a flat tire.

Chase Briscoe returns to the track 16 laps down after the team made repairs.

Lap 62, Noah Gragson has a narrow lead on Harrison Burton with Anthony Alfredo in third. Last week in Kansas, Anthony Alfredo’s race ended with him on his roof after a big crash.

Lap 68, Harrison Burton challenges Noah Gragson for the lead.

Chad Finchum, David Starr, and Timmy Hill are out of the race.

Lap 72, there are 28 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 72, Noah Gragson has a half second lead on Harrison Burton; Anthony Alfredo, Michael Annett, and Justin Allgaier round out the top five.

Lap 74, Harrison Burton has closed the gap on leader Noah Gragson to under a quarter of a second. There are 26 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 78, Noah Gragson and Harrison Burton battle for the lead with the two swapping the lead before Gragson holds on to the lead as they enter slower traffic.

Lap 81 the top five are Noah Gragson, Harrison Burton, Justin Allgaier, Anthony Alfredo, and Michael Annett.

There are only 17 cars on the lead lap with three laps remaining in stage two.

With a final stage of 110 laps, the drivers cannot complete the stage on a single fuel load and will have to make at least one trip down pit road for fuel.

Harrison Burton brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three on lap 98 with Justin Allgaier and Harrisn Burton battling for the lead. After swapping back and forth Harrisn Burton takes the lead.

Lap 99, Justin Allgaier takes the lead with Noah Gragsn in second and Austin Cindric in third.

Lap 100, Justin Allgaier is in the lead with Noagh Gragson in second and Austin Cindric in third.

Lap 104, Justin Allgaier has a lead of over a second on Austin Cindric; Noah Gragson, Harrison Burton Burton, and Ross Chastain round out the top five.

Harrison Burton brings out the caution flag on lap 108 when he spins out with a loose car and comes to a stop in the grass.

Way short of the fuel window, only a few drivers come down pit road for service.

Lap 130, Justin Allgaier is in the lead by a third of a second over Austin Cindric; Ross Chastain, Noah Gragson and Justin Haley round out the top five.

Riley Herbst brings out the seventh caution flag of the race on lap 133 when he gets into the wall. Herbst was attempting to pass Jeb Burton for seventh when he got loose.

Drivers bring their cars down pit road for service and to pack the fuel cell in hopes of making it to the end of the race.

Taking fuel only Jeb Burton wins the race off of pit road with cousin Harrison also taking fuel only coming out secnd.

With 59 laps to go, Ross Chastain is the new leader. Austin Cindric takes second from Jeb Burton.

With 57 laps to go Ross Chastain has a one second lead on Austin Cindric; Jeb Burton, Justin Haley, and Justin Allgaier round out the top five.

Fifty-five to go, Ross Chastain has a lead of a second and a half on Austin Cindric

Lap 154 Ross Chastain leads the race; Austin Cindric, Justin Allgaier, Justin Haley, and Noah Gragson round out the top five.

With 43 laps remaining in the race, Ross Chastain has a one second lead on Austin Cidric.

Jeb Burton brings out the caution flag after getting into the wall after reporting a vibration. He has significant damage to his car. During the last caution flag, Burton did not change his tires.

Many of the teams do not have a set of fresh tires.

Drivers come down pit road for fresh(er) tires and fuel. Taking fuel only Justin Haley wins the race off of pit road followed by Michael Annett who also took fuel only.

With 34 laps to go, Ross chastain has a lead of voer a second on Justin Allgaier; Noah Gragson, Austin Cindric, and Justin Haley round out the top five.

The caution flag comes out for a crash involving Joe Graf Jr and Myatt Snider. Both drivers are stopped against the wall. Graf gets his car moving again but Snider is stuck against the wall with the driver’s side against the wall. Snider gets out of his car and walks to the ambulance.

Ross Chastain brings the field down for the green flag restart with just 25 laps remaining in the race. After a push form Austin Cindric, Justin Allgaier takes the lead but Austin Cindric jumps out for the lead.

The caution flag comes out after a big crash involving some of the playoff drivers. Brandon Jones, Justin Allgaier, Jeremy Clements, and Ross Chastain were all involved. Allgaier got loose as the drivers got four wide, sending cars scattering.

Austin Cindric brings the field down for the green flag restart with Noah Gragson alongside with just 15 laps remaining in the race. Noah Gragson battles Austin Cindric for the lead and takes the lead with Anthony Alfredo in second and Harrison Burton in third.

Twelve to go, Noah Gragson has pulled out to a lead of over half a second on Anthony Alfredo with Harrison Burton in third.

Nine to go, Noah Gragson holds on to his half second lead on Anthony Alfredo with Harrison Burton in third.

Six to go, Noah Gragson has a lead of nearly a seocnd on Anthony Alfredo. Third place driver Harrison Burton challenges Alfredo for second.

Four to go, Noah Gragson holds on to the lead; but Harrison Burton is running some of the fastest laps on the track.

Three to go, Harrison Burton takes second from Anthony Alfredo and puts his sights on leader Noah Gragson.

Noah Gragson takes the white flag.

Harrison Burton has caught up to leader Noah Gragson and on turn four Burton takes the lead for the win. This is Burton’s third Xfinity Series win.
