The Xfinity Series kicks off the round of eight with the second race on a doubleheader Saturday with the Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway.

After racing in a torrential downpour last week, the drivers gear up for some night racing under the lights and cool temperatures.

Noah Gragson sits on the pole with Austin Cindric alongside on the front row.

Stages one and two are 45 laps each with stage three lasting 110 laps for a total of 200 laps around the mile and a half track.  With a fuel load of 56 to 60 laps, the drivers cannot complete stage three without making a pit stop.

Cup Series driver Clint Bowyer gave a rousing command to start engines.  The Kansas native announced last week that he will be stepping away from the car next season to enter the broadcast booth.

NASCAR has called for a competition caution on or around lap 20.

Noah Gragson brings the field down for the green flag start of the race from the inside lane and edges out Austin Cindric for the lead.

Lap two, Noah Gragsn leads the race with Austin Cindric in second; Ross Chastain, Brandon Jones, and Daniel Hemric round out the top five.

Austin Cindric and Ross Chastain battle for second but Cindric holds him off.  Brandon Jones makes it a three way battle.

Lap five, Noah Gragson has a lead of over half a second on Austin Cindric; Ross Chastain, Brandon Jones, and Daniel Hemric round out the top five.  Stephen Leicht is one lap down.

After winning the Truck Series race, Brett Moffitt is driving in the Xfinity series race and is currently in 19th.

Justin Allgaier is reporting some issues with the handling of his car.

Lap nine, Noah Gragson leads the race with Austin Cindric in second; Ross Chastain,, Brandon Jones, and Chase Briscoe round out the top five.

The first caution flag of the race comes out on lap eleven after Matt Mills gets sideways on the track in a single car incident.

Noah Gragson brings the field down for the green flag restart from the inside lane on lap 15 with Austin Cindric alongside on the outside.  Drivers immediately get four wide in a battle for the lead.  The caution flag come out for a crash on lap 15.  Leaders Austin Cindric and Noah Gragson were involved causing significant damage to the cars.

Ross Chastain is the leader.

NASCAR has moved the competition caution to lap 25.

Noah Gragson and Austin Cindric are on the crash clock.  Cindric is back on the track and making minimum  speed.

Ross Chastain brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 20 and holds on to the lead.  Chase Briscoe battles Ross Chastain for the lead. 

Lap 21, Chase Briscoe takes the lead with Ross Chastain in second; Brandon Jones, Harrison Burton, and Daniel Hemric round out the top five.

Noah Gragson’s team cannot get repairs completed in time and is out of the rce.

Lap 24, Chase Briscoe has a one second lead on Brandon Jones with Ross Chastain in third.

At the end of lap 25, NASCAR puts out the yellow flag for the competition caution.

The top five are Chase Briscoe, Brandon Jones, Harrison Burton, Ross Chastain, and Ryan Sieg.

Austin Cindric is back on pit road for more repairs.  After meeting the minimum speed, he is no longer on the crash clock and can make the necessary repairs.

The teams were given only four sets of tires for today’s race.

Chase Briscoe brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 30 and gets out in front for the lead with Harrison Burton in second.

Lap 31, the top five are Chase Briscoe, Brandon Jones, Harrison Burton, Ryan Sieg, and Ross Chastain.

Daniel Hemric gets into the wall but the track stays green.  Hemric takes his car to pit road with a possible flat tire.

Lap 35, Chase Briscoe has a one second lead on Brandon Jones; Harrison Burton, Ryan Sieg, and Ross Chastain round out the top five.  There are 33 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 41, Chase Briscoe continues ot lead the race with Brandon Jones in second; Harrison Burton, Ross Chastain, and Anthony Alfredo round out the top five with 29 cars on the lead lap.

Chase Briscoe wins stage one with a lead of over three seconds.

Drivers come down pit road for service with Chase Briscoe winning the race off pit road.

Chase Briscoe brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two on lap 52 and immediately make it a three wide battle for the lead.  Chase Briscoe gets out in front for the lead.

Jeffrey Earnhardt brings out the caution flag on lap 53 when he spins out after some contact from Joe Graf Jr.

Chase Briscoe brings the field down for the green flag restart  with Ross Chastain alongside on lap 57.  Ross Chastain edges out for the lead but Briscoe comes from the outside to pass Chastain and take the lead.

Lap 58, the top five are Chse Briscoe, Ross Chastain, Brandon Jones, Anthony Alfredo, and Harrison Burton.

There are 30 cars on the lead lap with Noah Gragson out of the race.

Lap 60, Chase Briscoe has a lead of over a second on Brandon Jones; Anthony Alfredo, Ross Chastain, and Harrison Burton round out the top five.

Leader Chase Briscoe is reporting a vibration; his team reports that all of the lug nuts are tight.

Lap 64, Chase Briscoe now has a two second lead on Brandon Jones; Anthony Alfredo, Ross Chastain, and Harrison Burton round out the top five. 

Stephen Leicht is out of the race.

Lap 67, Chase Briscoe has a lead of over two seconds on Brandon Jones.  Justin Allgaier is still reporting a very loose condition in his car.

Lap 70, Chase Briscoe has increased his lead to nearly three seconds on Brandon Jones; Anthony Alfredo, Ross Chastain, and Harrison Burton round out the top five.

Ross Chastain reports a loose condition in his car; adding that when he hits the seams, it is even worse.

Lap 76, Chase Briscoe has a three second lead on Brandon Jones; Anthony Alfredo, Ross Chastain, and Harrison Burton round out the top five.

Harrison Burton has caught up to Ross Chastain and is battling for fourth.

Lap 79, Harrison Burton gets around Ross Chastain for fourth.

Lap 80, Chase Briscoe has a lead of over three seconds on Brandon Jones with 23 cars on the lead lap.

After battling on the track in the Truck Series, Brett Moffitt and Austin Hill continue their battle in the Xfinity Series.

Five to go in stage two, Chase Briscoe continues to lead the race with a lead of over three seconds on Brandon Jones.

Chase Briscoe wins stage two for the stage sweep.  Briscoe has swept the first stages in three of the last four races.

Drivers bring their cars down pit road for service with Chase Briscoe winning the race off of pit road once again.

Chase Briscoe brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three on lap 97 and gets a challenge for the lead from Brandon Jones.  Briscoe and Jones battle for the lead with Briscoe getting out in front for the lead.

Lap 98, the top five are Chase Briscoe, Brandon Jones, Anthony Alfredo, Riley Herbst, and Harrison Burton.

Lap 100, Brandon Jones is staying close to leader Chase Briscoe’s bumper; Anthony Alfredo, Riley Herbst, and Ross Chastain round out the top five.

Lap 102, there are 20 cars on the lead lap.

Riley Herbst challenges Anthony Alfredo for third.

After his crash on lap five, Austin Cindric is 22 laps down in 32nd place.

Lap 107, Chase Briscoe has a lead of under half a second on Brandon Jones; Anthony Alfredo, Riley Herbst, and Ross Chastain round out the top five.

Lap 111, Chase Briscoe is dominating the race, leading 90 of the laps run so far.

Lap 112, the top five are Chase Briscoe, Brandon Jones, Anthony Alfredo, Riley Herbst, and Harrison Burton with 19 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 115, Chase Briscoe has pulled out to a lead of over a second on Brandon Jones.

Ross Chastain’s handling issues continue and he is dropping in the field; he is currently in seventh place.

Lap 118, Chase Briscoe has a one second on Brandon Jones; Anthony Alfredo, Riley Herbst, and Harrison Burton round out the top five.

Despite being many laps down, Austin Cindric is three points above the cut line as Ross Chastain’s handling issues continue.  Out of the race, Noah Gragson is in eight place 30 points below the cut line.

After being two laps down Daniel Hemric is back on the lead lap in eleventh place.

Lap 124, Chase Briscoe has a one second lead on Brandon Jones; Anthony Alfredo is in third nearly four seconds back; Riley Herbst and Harrison Burton round out the top five.

Lap 132, Chase Briscoe has pulled out to a lead of two seconds on Brandon Jones; Anthony Alfredo, Riley Herbst, and Harrison Burton round out the top five with just 15 cars on the lead lap.  Briscoe has led 111 laps so far.

Chase Briscoe reports that he is a little too free to hustle the car; Briscoe has a 1.8 second lead on Brandon Jones.

Lap 135, Myatt Snider is the last car on the lead lap in 14th place.

Myatt Snider and Harrison Burton race on the track while their fathers Marty Snider and Jeff Burton are a part of the broadcast team.  New dad Dale Earnhardt Jr is absent tonight after the birth of his daughter last Monday.  Nicole Lorraine is Jr and wife Amy’s second child; the couple have a two year old daughter Isla Rose.

Lap 140, Chase Briscoe has pulled out to a lead of nearly three seconds on Brandon Jones; Anthony Alfredo, Riley Herbst, and Harrison Burton round out the top five.

Lap 143, Daniel Hemric begins the cycle of green flag pit stops.  Ross Chastain’s team made a three round change to try and tighten up the car.

Harrison Burton is also reporting a loose issue.

Justin Allgaier continues to struggle with a loose issue.

Fifty to go, Ryan Sieg is in the lead but has yet to make his pit stop.

After a slow pit stop, Chase Briscoe’s near three second lead has dropped to just a second on Brandon Jones.

The caution flag comes out on lap 156 when Josh Reaume gets slideways and gets into the grass.

There are only 13 cars on the lead lap.

Ryan Sieg has yet to make his pit stop and must come down pit road, but how many other drivers will join him???  A few of the drivers come down for fresh tires.

Joe Graf Jr brings his car down pit road with a heavily smoking car with a possible oil line issue.  He gets stopped on pit road.

Chase Briscoe retakes the lead and brings the field down for the green flag restart with 37 laps remaining in the race.  Briscoe and Brandon Jones battle for the lead  with Briscoe taking the lead.

The Cup Series haulers have arrived at the track and will begin preparing for Sunday’s race.

With 35 laps remaining in the race Chase Briscoe has a half second lead on Brandon Jones; Riley Herbst, Anthony Alfredo and Ross Chastain round out the top five.  There are just 14 cars on the lead lap.

Harrison Burton spins out and just misses the wall bringing out the eighth caution flag of the race with 32 laps to go.  Burton appears to have a flat tire and has damage to the left side of his car.  Anthony Alfred and Ross Chastain make contact on the track and Burton spins out trying to avoid them.

Drivers come down pit road for that final set of sticker tires.  Harrison Burton wins the race off of pit road with Chase Briscoe coming out in second.

After staying out on the track, Ray Sieg brings the field down for the green flag restart with just 28 laps remaining in the race.  Chase Briscoe restarts the race in seventh place. 

Drivers get four wide going into turn one and crash with Antony Alfredo on his roof.  Riley Herbst, Justin Allgaier, and Brandon Brown were also involved.  Alfredo slid down the track on the driver’s side before turning onto the roof of his car.

NASCAR puts out the red flag to ensure Alfredo is safe and to get the track cleaned up. There are several emergency vehicles surrounding Alfredo’s car. Alfredo is talking with his crew chief; as well as, the track workers. The car is back on its wheels and Alfredo climbs out of the car and walks to the ambulance!!!

The drivers are moving again and under caution.

Drivers get three and four wide going into turn one with Ryan Sieg in the lead.

Anthony Alfredo has been checked and released from the infield care center!

The top five are Ryan Sieg, Chase Briscoe, Brett Moffitt, Justin Haley, and Austin Hill.

With 22 laps remaining in the race, Chase Briscoe takes the lead.

Fifteen to go, Chase Briscoe has a two second lead on Ryan Sieg; Brett Moffitt, Justin Haley and Daniel Hemric round out the top five.

There are only 13 cars on the lead lap.

Thirteen to go, Chase Briscoe has a three second lead on Ryan Sieg.

Anthony Alfredo thanked the emergency workers for their quick response. Upon seeing the replay he said wow. Alfredo said that he is fine. He added that he wished he could have flipped back and kept going; adding that he wishes he could get back out on the track.

The tenth caution flag comes out with just nine laps to go when Myatt Snider spins out with a flat tire.

Ryan Sieg comes down pit road for his final set of fresh tires. A few other drivers come down pit road for service and adjustments.

Chase Briscoe brings the field down for the green flag restart from the outside lane with just four laps remaining in the race with Justin Haley alongside on the front row. Drivers get four wide, with Chase Briscoe taking the lead after a push from Daniel Hemric.

The top five are Chase Briscoe, Daniel Hemric, Justin Haley, Ryan Sieg, and Austin Hill.

Two to go, Chase Briscoe has a one second lead on Daniel Hemric.

Chase Briscoe takes the white flag with a lead of over a second.

Chase Briscoe gets his ninth win of the season in dominating fashion to become the first driver in the championship four.

Nine wins in 30 races is a record for any driver not in the Cup Series. Briscoe also becomes Ford’s winningest driver, taking the spot from Carl Edwards.
