When ‘Dancing with the Stars” premieres season 29 on September 14, there will be a number of changes, some of which will not be immediately noticeable to the fans.

This season’s professional dancers include three married couples – Emma Slater and Sasha Farber, Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy, and Danielle Karagach and Pasha Pashkov – ; however, during their time on the show, they will not be permitted to interact with each other.  All dancers – celebrity and professional – will be quarantined and isolated in their own “pods” to aid in reducing any chance of virus spreading among the cast.  The dancers will also be  tested for the Covid-19 virus daily.

The isolation and testing will allow the couple to perform sans a mask.  ABC notes that the rules may change during the season, depending upon the situation.

Fans are already aware that Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews are out as hosts and Tyra Banks – who also serves as one of the executive producers – will take over the hosting duties.

The judges will be further apart this season and they will not have to deal with all the boos because there will be no live audience in the Ballroom.
